Episode 15: The People Who Show Up 🌲

Send us Fan Mail This week on Adventure Geek Radio, we're celebrating the people who show up — from neighbours coming to the rescue when Little Sid finally needed saving, to the volunteers who keep our Adventure Geek walks going while I'm off adventuring. We're also heading out into the New Forest, with recordings straight from the trail. You'll hear the crunch of the beach beneath our feet, some mystery birds that I definitely can't identify, and the rather dramatic sound of a tree coming down in the forest! 🌲 The Dog Pack answer this week's round robin question, "What did you do yesterday?", Pete somehow turns a conversation about historic buildings into the Time Warp, and I share three bits of good news from the week. Plus, this week's Treat of the Week is Conversation by Vanessa Van Edwards — a book I haven't actually read yet because it hasn't been released. Minor detail. 😂 And finally, I'm getting ready to head to Spain with our Camino Finisterre group. 🇪🇸🥾 Grab a cuppa, pop your headphones on and come for a wander with us. Episode 11: Sunrises, Poohsticks & Simple Pleasures

Send us Fan Mail Sometimes the best bits of life aren’t the big adventures — they’re the little moments we almost miss. This week I’m chatting about sunrise coffees, sunset walks, blowing bubbles and attempting to play Poohsticks when there’s no water in the stream! 😂 We also meet Adventure Geek member Gillian for a quick-fire round, Pete answers a very simple question about his favourite cold drink in a very Pete-like way, and I’ve got the latest Adventure Geek news. There’s also our newly launched Iceland adventure, the Camino Inglés, some good news from around the world, new AG Sun Hoodies and an update on our Halloween Haunt. And finally, I’m packing my bags again — this time for Slovenia! 🇸🇮 White water rafting, Lake Bled and a night in a mountain hut await. There won’t be a podcast next week while I’m away, but I’ll be back the following week with plenty of stories! Grab a coffee, pop your headphones in and come for a walk with me. Live Your Best Life! After finally having treatment on a foot problem I’ve ignored for years, I share a simple story that really made me stop and think. If someone gave you your dream car and told you it had to last a lifetime, you’d look after it. So why don’t we treat our bodies the same way? We also celebrate the incredible Adventure Geek community after our walk leaders stepped in to cover my walks while I recovered, proving once again that this really is more than just a walking group.
