How You Do Anything Is How You Do Everything | Jason Kons '13 | Bolt Brotherhood Podcast Ep. 12

In Episode 12 of the Bolt Brotherhood Podcast, ChristianSpears ’15 sits down with 2013 U.S. Air Force Academy graduate and former O-Lineman Jason Kons to discuss the mindset, discipline, and leadership principles thathave shaped his life both in and out of uniform. Jason reflects on his time at the Academy and shares how thefoundation built as a cadet and Division I student-athlete continues to influence the way he approaches every challenge. The lessons learned in the classroom, on the football field, and through military leadership instilled awork ethic and optimistic outlook that have become cornerstones of his personal and professional success. One of Jason's most compelling insights is that an athlete'sidentity doesn't end when the pads come off. Instead, former athletes learn to channel the same discipline, resilience, preparation, and competitive spirit into new arenas; whether that's military service, business, leadership, or family. The central lesson from Jason's journey is one that appliesfar beyond sports: How You Do Anything Is How You Do Everything. Excellence isn't reserved for the biggest moments; it's built through the habits, standards, and intentional choices we make every day. Christian and Jason explore the power of consistency, theimportance of leading by example, and why success is often the result of doing the ordinary things extraordinarily well. This conversation is a reminder that character is revealed in the little things, and the habits you build today become the legacy you leave tomorrow.
