    In our first episode we begin with the War of Spanish succession (1701- 1713/14), the first of 5 conflicts that will change the geopolitical landscape and slowly set the stage for the 7 years war. We also briefly discuss The Great Northern War and Charles VI of Austria's growing concern over his own succession. We end the episode on the eve of the War of the Quadruple Alliance.
