Truth Talks with Lucy Saywood: The Podcast Where Wellness Gets Honest.

Lucy Saywood

Truth Talks is the podcast where wellness gets honest. Hosted by yoga teacher and somatic practitioner Lucy Saywood, this is a space for real conversations about embodiment, burnout, spirituality, healing, business, and the messy experience of being human. For those craving more truth, more nuance, and fewer polished answers. Because healing isn’t always graceful, spirituality isn’t always aesthetic, and being human was never meant to be a performance.

Ghosts, Spirit Guides + Life Beyond Death

Content note: This episode includes open conversations about suicide, psychiatric hospitalisation, death and spiritual experiences. Please take care while listening if these topics feel difficult for you. What if the veil between this world and the next isn't as solid as we've been taught to believe? In this episode of Truth Talks, I'm joined by Australian psychic medium Glenda-Marie for a fascinating, honest and deeply personal conversation about spirits, psychic mediumship and the unseen world. Together we explore our own experiences with ghostly encounters, spirit guides and the moments that have challenged our understanding of reality. We also discuss the idea that intuition isn't a gift reserved for a select few, but something many of us can nurture and develop if we're willing to listen. Alongside these conversations, Glenda-Marie generously shares parts of her own story, including experiences of her time in a psychiatric hospital, family bereavement, and how those chapters shaped the path she walks today. Whether you're deeply spiritual, quietly curious, sceptical, or somewhere in between, this episode isn't about convincing you what to believe. It's an invitation to explore the questions that so many of us have asked at one time or another. ✨ Do spirits exist? ✨ Can anyone develop psychic abilities? ✨ Who—or what—are our spirit guides? ✨ And what might be waiting beyond the veil? I'd love to hear your thoughts after listening. You can find me on Instagram @soul.tribe.yoga, or discover more about my work at SoulTribe. If you enjoy Truth Talks, please consider following the podcast, leaving a review, or sharing the episode with someone who'd love these conversations. The Cult I Didn't Know I Was In

In this episode of Truth Talks, I sit down with Jess Weinstock to explore her nine-year journey inside a yoga organisation she later came to recognise as having many of the characteristics of a cult. What began as an inspiring and empowering movement offering community and transformation became increasingly uncomfortable. Jess started noticing troubling behaviours: unquestioning loyalty, manipulation, fear of speaking out, and leadership dynamics that left little room for dissent. Together, we explore how intelligent, thoughtful people can find themselves caught up in unhealthy group dynamics, why belonging is such a powerful human need, and what it takes to walk away when your identity, friendships and sense of community are wrapped up in an organisation. This conversation is not about blame or judgement. It's about curiosity, critical thinking and understanding the subtle ways influence, power and control can show up in wellness spaces. Please note: this episode contains discussion of coercive control, manipulation, emotional harm and cult dynamics, which some listeners might find triggering. Listener discretion is advised. In this episode, Jess shares her personal experience of involvement with Buti Yoga and how her understanding of that experience evolved over time. The views expressed are those of the guest and are shared as part of a broader conversation about community, influence, belonging, and wellbeing.
