What Kind of a Fortunate Girl am I?

What kind of fortunate girl am I? That I get to be the wife of the most beautiful man in the world? Lucky? blessed? I saw you sleeping next to me when I woke up And boy, you glow up As if you’re in a beauty contest! Are you real or is it a test? If life is an exam, and my challenge is not to fall for you, I give up! I’ll call myself a loser, Lost in your arm is the biggest prize, I’m falling, every day, and I like it. And among the billions of women, you chose me? How can I not be so happy? Thank you for staying until the end. Leave a comment if this piece touched something true. I read the responses. Do you know someone who might like this post? Tsy rendrika Spica Malagasy Writer is where I write and perform in English, French, and Malagasy. Raw spoken word. Realistic fiction. Historical pieces grounded in reality. Daily language. Direct emotion. No hiding behind pretty images. I am a Malagasy writer born and raised in Madagascar. I currently live in South Carolina while getting my PhD in mathematics. Sometimes the words are mine. Sometimes I perform someone else’s text with permission.
