Laughable Advice

Relationship troubles? Laugh it off! Laughable Advice is a comedy podcast where radio DJ and stand-up comic Vince Berry leads a panel discussion tackling real-life relationship dilemmas. Each episode features a rotating cast of guest co-hosts (married homemakers, forever-single standups, and maybe even a divorce attorney or two) creating a discussion panel with wildly different perspectives. Together, they dig through Reddit advice threads and listener-submitted stories from emails and DMs; offering their takes in an unfiltered roundtable format. With comedians providing the advice, their guidance may veer into offbeat and hilariously questionable territory, but their brutal honesty is always coupled with a laugh.

    V-Tubers for Christ | Laughable Advice #10

What happens when one person in a long-term relationship experiences a major change in faith, values, and outlook on life? Can a relationship survive when two people are no longer on the same page? Vince (99.1 PLR) and Dee (Fox's 99 To Beat S1) welcome special guest Connor from Connoisseur Media for an honest, funny, and occasionally unpredictable conversation about relationships, religion, and figuring out where life takes you. After six years with his girlfriend, Connor found himself on a much deeper Christian journey than the one he started with. He opens up about questioning his beliefs, rediscovering Christianity through Bible study, and the frustration of realizing how much he still had to learn. The crew explores what happens when personal growth changes a relationship, how to navigate differences in beliefs, and why communication, maturity, love, and meeting halfway matter. Then things take a few detours! From Christian V-Tubers and internet culture to Vince’s ongoing dating adventures, goth-girl matchmaking schemes, and a wild conversation about Cocaine Bear, there’s plenty of classic Laughable Advice chaos along the way. Can two people grow in different directions and still build a future together? And can Dee finally find Vince the right woman? Tune in for relationship talk, real-life experiences, questionable jokes, and advice that might actually help. Laughable Advice – Episode 9

What happens when relationship advice, dating apps, ChatGPT, questionable fashion choices, pop culture, and real-life heartbreak all end up in the same conversation? You get another episode of Laughable Advice. Brought to you by Blue Law Bourbon (21+ only, drink responsibly) Vince and Dee kick off the episode with some laughs about a signature hat and AI-generated advice before moving into stories about getting stared at in public, social media, and the strange ways our online world shapes everyday life. The conversation takes a more serious turn as they talk about the unexpected loss of  professional wrestler PAC (Benjamin Satterley) and how losing someone around your own age can change the way you think about life, health, and mortality. They also discuss the importance of men being able to openly express grief and the reality that sometimes you really should listen to your body and go to the doctor. From there, the show gets back to its trademark mix of humor and relationship talk, including alternative dating apps, furries, wife swapping, attraction, celebrity relationships, Drake dating a goth girl, and the unpredictable twists that come with finding love. Laughable Advice Episode 008: Stink Eyes and Serial Killers

In this episode of Laughable Advice, hosts Vince (from 99.1 PLR) and Dee (from Fox's 99 to Beat, Season 1) break down real relationship dilemmas mixed with comedy, studio updates, and behind-the-scenes radio workplace drama. First Official Sponsor: Vince and Dee celebrate their very first sponsor, Blue Law Bourbon out of East Hartford, Connecticut. Vince shares the brand's unique history—founded by the great-grandson of a female Prohibition-era bootlegger—and explains the origins of Connecticut's historic Sunday alcohol sales restrictions ("blue laws").  Political PR "Victory Lap": The hosts recount a previous episode with guest Melissa Sheketoff (WICC 600AM) where they joked that gubernatorial candidate Ryan Fazio looked like Clark Kent / Superman and suggested he make a superhero-themed TV commercial. They react to his actual commercial featuring superhero stunts and jokingly request their commission checks.  Radio Station vs. Digital Growth: Vince and Dee discuss the friction between traditional radio workplace culture and modern internet content creation. They touch on securing their own sponsors and the importance of adapting to social media and digital platforms.  YouTube Drama & Thumbnail Makeovers: Vince shares a funny story about receiving a salty DM from someone criticizing his use of AI art for YouTube thumbnails. After consulting with creators from Red Cow Entertainment and Paathis, an expat creator in Japan, Vince revamped the channel's thumbnail layout, which led to a boost in channel views.  Workplace Dynamics & Stink-Eye Encounters: Vince vents about feeling like he gets side-eyed or ignored by certain colleagues at the station, contrasting his interactions with co-workers. Dee calls him dramatic and suggests he gets Meta smart glasses to capture the alleged dirty looks.  Upcoming Halloween Plans: The duo chats about local fall events, including the Halloween convention at the casino and local haunted attraction Legends of Fear, where their street-team friend Mike flies on a zipline broom as a witch, and Dee’s daughter got a job as a woodland vampire.

    Wu-Tang Forever

Vince (99.1 PLR) and Dee (Fox’s 99 To Beat) are back with another episode of Laughable Advice, and this one starts off hot! Vince kicks things off with a dating disaster involving a Wu-Tang Clan and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony concert, free tickets, a no-show, and the classic "I was sad in bed" explanation. Dee offers some advice: maybe it’s time to stop chasing and start with friendship. From there, the conversation gets into the challenges of modern dating—including mixed signals, inconsistent texting, emotional availability, and why being too accommodating can sometimes send the wrong message. The hosts also debate the best first-date ideas, with Dee making the case for IKEA and Vince arguing for activities like mini-golf or bowling. Because apparently, nothing reveals someone's true personality quite like watching how they handle losing at mini-golf. Then comes THE ICK.Inspired by Dee's social media followers, Vince and Dee run through some of the biggest dating turn-offs—from open-mouth chewing and rude behavior toward restaurant staff to excessive phone use, taking endless food photos, and getting way too drunk on a first date. Finally, they tackle the more serious side of relationships: communication, accountability, boundaries, marriage, children, and knowing what you actually want. Being honest about your expectations early can save you from years of resentment, confusion, and wasted time. What’s your biggest dating ick? Spiritually Merged at Heathrow (with Guest Ron Hill)

In this episode, Vince Berry (99.1 PLR FM) and Dee Ortiz (Fox's 99 to Beat), are joined in the studio by a special guest: comedian and improv expert Ron Hill! Together, they dive deep into the internet's wild world of real-life relationship drama to offer some much-needed perspective, a few realities, and plenty of laughs. The "Girl Dinner" Chronicles: Vince shares his latest internet addiction: the "Girl Dinner Diaries" subreddit. We break down a truly depressing meal submission—a sad corn beef sandwich, a rock-hard pretzel bun, and a cup of soup masquerading as chunky coffee on a paper plate. Bridgerton vs. Reality: We tackle a viral post titled "Flew Across the Country to Reconnect with my Ex and Received Psychological Damage Instead." We unpack the story of a listener who claims she and her ex "spiritually merged" at the airport baggage claim while he held her face like a "dying Victorian woman in a period drama"—only for him to text her later saying he barely touched her. The Masked Magician of Guy Code: Vince and Ron pull back the curtain on what guys really mean when they stay up until 3:00 a.m. talking about lunar signs, crystals, and cosmic connections. (Hint: He might just be watching the 76ers game.) Horoscopes: Garbage or Gospel? Dee admits she is completely obsessed with star signs and personality types (especially those bold Scorpios), while Vince remains firmly on the skeptical Aquarius side of the fence. The Disney Thanksgiving Trap: Vince shares a personal cautionary tale about a past relationship and the terrifying panic of a partner trying to lock down a $1,200-a-night Disney trip 18 months into the future.
