    Interrupting Patterns Earlier

In this seventh episode of CareFull Practices Season 2, Ryder Fox dives into our next practice towards getting unstuck: interrupting our stuck patterns earlier. We return to the patterns of stuckness we explored in episode 2, and consider what we can do with these patterns - kindly, without punishment, and without shame. Check out our Patreon for our full-length episode, where Ryder and Ash discuss interrupting these stuck patterns without being punitive, without gaslighting themselves, without toxic positivity. It can be hard to break those cycles, and they get honest about it. Ash talks more about practices that have helped them to interrupt self harm patterns without hurling more harm at themself in the process. Ryder shares more about interrupting their patterns of catastrophizing. On their journey toward becoming a parent, they've been experiencing more of this internal fear of “don’t believe too hard or this will all be taken away from you” and exploring ways to hold those fears alongside their hopes. Reclaiming your Power

In this sixth episode of CareFull Practices Season 2, Ryder Fox dives into our next practice towards getting unstuck: reclaiming our power. How do you celebrate the progress you've made? How do you feel comfortable with your own power? This episode explores the relationship between celebration, power, and rest. Check out our Patreon for our full-length episode, where Ryder and Ash are talking about how they celebrate their progresses and what rituals help them to shed the old stuckness patterns that they're letting go of. If you're interested in having these conversations with other people who are practicing alongside you, we'd love to have you there.  Ash will expound on how hard it is to rest in ways that feel restorative to them, especially when they’re feeling like a dissociated potato who just wants to stare at the wall.  Ryder will talk more about how hard it is to celebrate themselves, and how much they've had to dedicate to this practice, because anything that feels like taking up space automatically feels like stealing from other people. Holding Two Truths

In this fifth episode of CareFull Practices Season 2, Ryder Fox dives into our fifth practice towards getting unstuck: mapping mind-body awareness. We invite you to return to the internalized narratives that you held in week 3. Does this have to be so absolute? Are there any other truths that could be possible alongside this internalized truth? Check out our Patreon for our full-length episode, where Ryder and Ash are discussing what it really means to hold these alternative truths – and how they keep from replacing them with toxic positivity or self blame or other punitive messages. They'll share practices that have helped them to open their bodyminds to new possibilities after being constrained by stuck narratives for too long. Ash will be reflecting on mistakes they’ve made in relationships before, and how practicing new possibilities helps them feel prepared for whenever they may encounter similar situations in the future. Ryder will be sharing examples of ways that they were able to begin leaning into new possibilities that helped them to move out of an abusive environment and stay out of it, even when old narratives told them they were to blame and should try to do better. Mapping Mind-Body Awareness

In this fourth episode of CareFull Practices Season 2, Ryder Fox dives into our fourth practice towards getting unstuck: mapping mind-body awareness. We invite you to curiously examine what you're feeling in your bodymind, and then explore what comfort feels like - not what you think it should feel like, but what it actually does feel like. Check out our Patreon for our full-length episode, where Ryder and Ash will discuss their own icky-sticky experiences with dysregulation—what it looks like when they're falling apart, what their bodyminds are doing, and what practices have helped them begin restoring that trust. Ash will talk more about how their stuckness can lead to meltdowns that completely break their capacity to mediate when they're caught between warring expectations. Ryder will share more about how surviving abuse that left them sitting in tight corners, quaking uncontrollably and dissociating, helped them learn how to root into their own power. Recognizing the Narratives of Stuckness

In this third episode of CareFull Practices Season 2, Ryder Fox dives into our third practice towards getting unstuck: recognizing the narratives of stuckness. When we receive the same messages over and over, or learn that doing a specific thing keeps us safe, we internalize that message. We might not even realize that some narratives are internalized and aren't just objective truth. We invite you to curiously examine the narratives behind your stuck points, and sit with what you've been telling yourself. Check out our Patreon for our full-length episode, where Ryder and Ash will get honest about how easy it can be to beat ourselves up, take all of the blame, and silence ourselves in the company of these louder stuck narratives. Ash will share more about their own experiences with taking the blame for others’ feelings and experiences. Ryder will talk about how hard it was for them to let go of the idea that they needed to stay inside an abusive relationship in order to be loved and have a family. Identifying Patterns of Stuckness

In this second episode of CareFull Practices Season 2, Ryder Fox dives into our second practice towards getting unstuck: noticing the patterns of our stuckness. When we're inside of what feels most stuck, we can forget that there might have been other experiences too... times that felt less stuck. We focus on survival, on getting out of the stuckness any way that we can. But what if instead we can notice the patterns of how our stuckness shows up, and use that to learn strategies of better navigating our stuckness? We invite you to gently start to sit with your patterns of stuckness, and consider: have I seen this before? Check out our Patreon for our full-length episode, where Ryder and Ash return back to the examples they shared last week to discuss patterns around each of those stuck points, and practice noticing these patterns. Identifying Patterns of Stuckness

    Naming what feels stuck

In this first episode of CareFull Practices Season 2, Ryder Fox dives into the first step towards getting unstuck: identifying specifically what even feels stuck in the first place. Sometimes, all we feel is overwhelmed, trapped, panicked, stuck... but how can we consider how to get unstuck if we don't even really know what is making us feel this way? Yet at the same time, our bodies and minds naturally protect us by not sitting in the stuckness, because stuckness feels unsafe. We invite you to gently explore even just one specific thing that feels stuck, and see if you can name it. Check out our Patreon for our full-length episode, where Ryder and Ash talk more specifically about their own stuck points, how they've named them, and where they've struggled.
