Why the Personal Growth Work Is Never Wasted: The Journey Back to Your Magnificence | Ep 10

Visit https://magnifywithsue.com/ to continue your journey toward recognizing, embracing and expressing your magnificence. Have you ever wondered why an old fear, painful pattern or limiting belief returned after you thought you had already dealt with it? It doesn’t mean that your previous work failed—or that you are back at the beginning. It may mean you are meeting the pattern from a new level of awareness, with more strength and understanding than you had before. In this episode of Magnify Your Magnificence, I share how an experience from my childhood taught me to suppress my natural joy, exuberance and self-expression. What began as an attempt to remain safe eventually became a pattern of playing small, staying quiet and carefully calculating how much of myself I could allow others to see. But even our survival patterns can contain unexpected gifts. In my case, staying quiet helped me become a careful observer, a compassionate listener and someone capable of recognizing what others were experiencing. Now, I’m learning how to keep those gifts without remaining trapped inside the box that created them. We explore why personal transformation is a lifelong journey, what it means when familiar struggles resurface and why rest is not a failure to grow. You do not have to exhaust yourself trying to become magnificent. Your magnificence is already within you—the work is learning to remember and express it. I also share the meaning behind changing the podcast’s name from Magnify with Sue to Magnify Your Magnificence and why the new name more clearly reflects the heart of this show. Join the Magnify With Sue Newsletter Continue the journey from self-doubt to self-love at https://magnifywithsue.com In this episode of Magnify With Sue, I’m joined by Lynn Banis, a psychologist and the founder of Women Rising Together. If you have ever wondered how to deal with grief, loss, loneliness, or a major life change that has shaken your identity, this conversation is for you. Lynn and I talk about what grief really feels like after losing someone you love, why the first year can feel like a fog, and why the second year can bring a deeper realization that life has truly changed. Lynn shares from her own experience of losing her mother, her younger brother, and her husband, as well as from her work helping women move through deep loss. We also explore why grief is not only about death. Divorce, retirement, job loss, health changes, family transitions, and the loss of an old identity can all leave us asking, “Who am I now?” Lynn explains why women often try to carry pain alone, why asking for help can feel so difficult, and why healing is not something we are meant to do in isolation. We talk about grief support, wisdom circles, emotional triggers, fear, self-limiting beliefs, and the importance of having someone walk beside you through the messy middle. This is a compassionate episode about how to cope with grief and loss, how to find support after loss, and how to begin rebuilding life when everything feels different. Join the Magnify With Sue Newsletter Continue the journey from self-doubt to self-love at https://magnifywithsue.com In this episode of Magnify With Sue, I’m joined by Laura Hoorweg, a spiritual counselor, intuitive coach, and psychic medium based in Vancouver, Canada. Laura and I explore what it means to search for God, spirit, healing, and authentic connection outside of the places we’re often told to look. She shares how, as a young girl, she went looking for God in church but eventually found her deepest spiritual connection in nature. We also talk about her powerful out-of-body experience as a teenager, how that changed her understanding of life, death, and spirit, and why it took years for her to fully process what happened. From there, our conversation moves into grief, conscious uncoupling, self-care, meditation, sound healing, journaling, handwriting, and the importance of creating space to hear our own inner wisdom. This is a deep, wide-ranging conversation about coming back to who we really are, doing the inner work, and learning to live from a place of greater love, presence, and spiritual awareness. This episode includes personal and spiritual perspectives on healing and well-being, and is not intended as medical advice. How I Turned Life’s Hardest Seasons Into Self-Love and Magnificence | Ep 7

Join the Magnify With Sue newsletter: https://magnifywithsue.com In this episode of Magnify With Sue, I’m sharing a conversation from my interview on The 9–5 Exit Plan Podcast with Abraham Donatus. This conversation goes deep into the heart of my work: what it means to recognize your own magnificence, especially when life has tested you through failure, loss, illness, fear, or starting over. I’ve walked through divorce, bankruptcy, failed businesses, a near-death experience, and cancer. And while those seasons were painful, they also became invitations — invitations to heal, grow, listen more deeply, and discover the truth I now teach: we do not become magnificent because life finally gets easy. We came in magnificent. In this episode, I talk about why so many of us struggle to love ourselves, how adversity can become a catalyst for transformation, and what my near-death experience taught me about worth, judgment, purpose, and unconditional love. My hope is that this conversation reminds you that you are stronger than the adversity in front of you, more worthy than your mistakes, and more magnificent than you may have been taught to believe. In this episode, I share: Why learning to love myself became one of the biggest lessons of my life What I mean when I say we “came in magnificent” How adversity can shape us without defining us What my near-death experience taught me about unconditional love How cancer changed the way I understood life, purpose, and healing The four inner power tools that help us move through difficult seasons Why gratitude can shift the mind from fear to peace How to listen to your heart when creating a meaningful life What I would tell my younger self about self-love Join the newsletter If this episode spoke to you, I’d love to continue this journey with you through the Magnify With Sue newsletter. Each week, we explore self-love, healing, inner peace, and the practice of remembering the magnificence that has always been within you.
