    Taste the beast! I'm finally back with a new episode, and I'm here to talk about the 2008 comedy "Role Models," and its amazing director, David Wain.     Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back

    Snootchie bootchies! In this episode, I discuss Kevin Smith's fan-service classic, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. And on 4/20, because of course. As a kid in high school, I went through a big View Askewniverse phase, treating his movies almost like stoner-Shakespeare. I was a hopelessly uncool dork with almost no social life to speak of, but in Smith's sharply written world, I got to feel strangely adult.  Here, we'll look into accusations of homophobia against the film and director; the story of how Jason Mewes was touched by an angel; and take a peak at the director who inspired Smith to get started in the first place.

    Eurotrip

    Remember Eurotrip? It's a Millennial classic, and I'm here to unpack it. Like the kids in the movie, I'm venturing out to uncharted waters -- I'm just wearing more clothing while doing it. (With one glaring exception... you'll have to listen to find out!) I'm a podcasting greenhorn, so the audio quality is about as good as Scottie's relationship with Fiona. Regardless, if you wanna check out a cheeky movie recap, and get some wild facts along the way, then welcome aboard. We're taking a deep-dive in the history of the movie, the inspiration behind it, and figuring out exactly what the deal was with that French robot.

    Here's my podcasting debut! Your first episode is always your worst, right?  Welcome to "Stupid Comedy Stuff," a podcast hosted by me, Emma Kat. I'm a writer and comedian living in Austin, TX, and I've been obsessed with comedy for as long as I can remember. (I blame Adam Sandler). I used to be a comedy journalist, but now I'm launching this podcast to give me an outlet for waxing and rhapsodizing and other $10 words that really just mean "talking without a script."
