Your life is built on four pillars. How wobbly are yours?

They aren’t separate compartments. They’re four load-bearing parts of the same structure. When one starts to wobble, cracks can appear everywhere. Stress affects your body. Exhaustion affects your relationships. Isolation can drive you further into work. Losing your sense of purpose can make an otherwise successful life feel strangely empty. I know because I tried to ignore the cracks in mine. I thought stress was ambition. I thought busyness was success. I thought slowing down meant falling behind. Eventually, I realised I didn’t just need to redecorate. I needed a builder, a plasterer and an interior designer. The builder helped me address the deeper structural problems. The plasterer helped me repair the visible cracks. Then the interior designer helped me think about how I actually wanted my life to look and feel. That’s the idea behind Balanse. First, you assess the four pillars of your life: mind, body, relationships and purpose. Then you strengthen what’s wobbling before intentionally designing what comes next. Because there’s little point choosing new cushions when the wall is about to fall down. In this video, I explain why your weakest pillar isn’t where you’re failing. It’s your ripple point: the place where one focused change could begin to steady your whole life. You are what you think whether you like it or not

Start with you. For things to change, you need to change. When people want their life to change, they often start by looking at the external world. A different job, a different environment, more time. But real change rarely starts outside of you. It starts with something much simpler and much harder. You are what you think. Psychology and neuroscience both point to the same truth. The brain filters reality through what you focus on. Your beliefs shape your attention. Your attention shapes what you notice. What you notice shapes how you interpret the world. This is why two people can experience the same situation and come away with completely different stories. One sees failure, another sees feedback. One sees obstacles, another sees opportunity. The event may be the same, but the meaning we assign to it changes our experience of it. In other words, you are what you think. The thoughts you repeat become the story you live inside. And if that story isn’t serving you, you have the ability to rewrite it. Change begins in your days. The mistake many people make is believing that change comes from big moments, a breakthrough, a decision, a turning point. In reality, most lives change through something quieter, daily behaviour. The way you start your morning, what you focus on during the day, the habits you repeat when no one is watching. These small actions compound over time, which leads to a simple but powerful truth. Your life isn’t created in big moments, it’s created in your days and your day creates your life. Your daily reset. One of the most powerful ways to move from autopilot to intentional living is to create a simple daily reset, a moment where you pause, reconnect with what matters and decide how you want to show up. Think of it as your personal playbook for the day. At Balance This Playbook is built around a simple framework. You can approach it through the balance method, breathe slash body. Start with your physiology. Movement and breathing help regulate your nervous system and create the energy needed for the day. Align your mind, direct your focus, decide what you want your attention on rather than letting the world decide for you. Live your why, reconnect with your purpose and the deeper reason behind what you’re doing. Act with intention. Choose the actions that move you forward rather than reacting to distractions. Notice patterns, pay attention to what’s working and what isn’t. Awareness is the foundation of change. Serve others, contribution and connection. Give meaning to the work we do. Evolve daily. Growth is not a single breakthrough moment. It’s a continual process of learning and improving. The seven S’s of balance. Another way to think about this is through the seven S’s of balance. Self-aware, sustainable, simple, satisfying, service, spiritual and science-backed. Together they create a system for living with clarity and intention, rather than drifting through life. The shift from thinking to doing. The purpose of frameworks and reflections is not to stay in your head, it’s to move you into action. Because insight without action changes nothing. You can read the books, listen to the podcasts and think deeply about what you want from life. But eventually there comes a moment when you have to start, take the first step, make the call, Start the habit. Try the thing. Clarity rarely appears before action. More often, action creates clarity. So if you’re waiting for the perfect moment to begin, consider this your reminder. If you’re in your head, you’re dead. Get into action. Key takeaway. For things to change, you need to change. Not dramatically, not overnight, but in the way you think, act, and the habits you repeat every day. Insight without action changes nothing. If you’re in your head, you’re dead. Get into action. Take the free Balanse Reset today to see where you’re suck and what you can do next. The Lion's Gate Portal. Is it magic or psychology?

Welcome back to The Daily Reset. Today, I want to talk about something that’s all over social media right now, the Lionsgate Portal. If you’ve opened Instagram or TikTok this week, you’ve probably seen people talking about 888, infinite abundance, manifestation, Jupiter, destiny, miracles, and writing down your dreams before the 8th of August. Some people believe it’s one of the most energetically powerful days of the year. Others think it’s complete nonsense. And I think there’s actually something really valuable sitting somewhere in the middle. Because whether or not you believe the universe is sending you signs, there is something incredibly powerful about stopping your life for a moment and asking yourself, what do I actually want? The symbolism matters. This year, people are calling it 888, the eighth day, the eighth month. And if you add together the digits in 2026, numerology enthusiasts reduce it to another eight. In numerology, eight represents abundance, courage, strength, leadership, and infinity. Now, there’s no scientific evidence that this particular date changes your destiny. Astronomically, the Lionsgate portal is associated with the star Sirius appearing near the sun during Leo season. But the modern manifestation rituals around it are largely spiritual traditions rather than established science. And I think that’s okay. Not everything has to be scientifically proven to be meaningful. The question is, what do you do with it? What if manifestation isn’t magic? I used to think manifestation meant sitting around waiting for the universe to deliver. Now I see it completely differently. Manifestation isn’t wishing. It’s designing. It’s deciding. It’s becoming. Psychologists have known for decades that our brains work towards the things we repeatedly focus on. When you clearly define what matters, your attention changes. Your behavior changes. The opportunities you notice change. Your confidence changes. You begin acting like the person who believes that future is possible. That isn’t magic. That’s human psychology. One of the quotes I saw this week really stood out. “Stop worrying about how it will happen.” Just know that it will. Now, I wouldn’t go quite that far because things don’t always work out exactly as we planned. Life has taught me that businesses fail, people leave, jobs disappear, plans change. But I do think there’s wisdom in letting go of trying to control every single step. When we’re obsessed with the how, we often stop moving altogether. We overthink. We procrastinate. We wait until we feel ready. Instead, ask yourself, what’s the next right step? That’s all you need. Not the whole staircase. Just the next step. Another quote I’ve seen everywhere says, “when things don’t work out, be grateful that something better will”. Now, I wouldn’t say life always replaces disappointment with something better. Sometimes life is simply difficult. But I have noticed something. Looking back at my own life, some of the biggest disappointments became the turning points. Businesses ending, losing jobs, relationships changing, my ADHD diagnosis, getting sober. At the time, none of those felt like gifts, but each one redirected my life somewhere I couldn’t yet see. Sometimes what we’re grieving is actually making space for something new. Here’s what I plan to do this 888. Forget the pressure. Forget the perfection. Forget whether the portal is real or not. Instead, give yourself one intentional hour. Write down eight things you’d love your future life to include. Not just things you want to own. How do you want to feel? Who do you want to become? How do you want your relationships to feel? How healthy do you want to be? How much peace do you want? What work lights you up? What contribution do you want to make? Then ask yourself, what’s the one belief that’s stopping me? Maybe it’s, I’m too old. I’m too late. I’m not good enough. I’ve missed my chance. I need permission. Write it down, question it, and then let it go. Not because it disappears overnight, but because you’ve stopped treating it like the truth. Write a letter from your future self. This might be my favourite exercise. Imagine it’s August 2027, one year from today. You wake up. Your life isn’t perfect, but it’s recognisably yours. You trusted yourself. You took the difficult conversations. You applied for the jobs. You started the business. You became healthier. You repaired the relationship. You made the phone call. You asked for help. You kept showing up. Now write yourself a letter. Thank today’s version of you for not giving up. It’s amazing how often our future self already knows exactly what our present self needs to hear. And then do one thing. Just one. Not eight. One. Send the email. Apply for the role. Book the coach. Go for the walk. Open the document. Start the conversation. Manifestation without action is simply imagination. Action is what changes lives. Final thoughts. Whether you believe in Lionsgate, or psychology, or faith, or coincidence, this much is true. Every meaningful life begins with someone deciding that tomorrow can look different from today. Maybe August 8th is just another day. Or maybe it’s the day you finally decide to stop drifting, to stop waiting, to stop telling yourself that one day you’ll begin because your future isn’t built by wishing. It’s built by the choices you make after this podcast ends. So here’s my invitation. Write down your eight dreams. Release one thing that’s keeping you stuck. Take one brave action. And trust that every small step you take today is building a life your future self will thank you for. Until next time, stay curious, stay intentional. And remember, you don’t have to have your whole life figured out. You just need the courage to take the next right step.Loral xo Take 5 minutes to see what’s keeping you stuck - try the FREE Balanse Reset. Are you chasing the wrong things?

Show on post Welcome back to The Daily Reset. Today I want to talk about something I came across on social media. It was a simple image with two columns. On one side it said, things that don’t matter. Other people’s opinions. Comparing yourself to other people. That thing you failed at. Your age. And on the other side, things that do matter. You woke up this morning. Your loved ones. Clean food and water. Your health. Doing what you love. Simple. Almost obvious. And yet, if we’re honest, how much of our lives are spent worrying about the list on the left instead of appreciating the list on the right? I know what it’s like. I spent years chasing success, building businesses, worrying about what people thought, wondering if I was behind everyone else, feeling like I should have achieved more by now. Then life has a way of reminding you what really matters - losing people you love, getting sober, receiving a diagnosis, watching your child become a parent, holding your granddaughter for the first time. Suddenly your inbox doesn’t seem so important, your LinkedIn likes don’t matter, the job you didn’t get doesn’t matter quite as much. Because life has a funny way of bringing your attention back to what was important all along. One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is, I’ll be happy when? When I lose the weight. When I get the job. When I earn more money. When people recognise me. When my business succeeds. But happiness was never waiting for us at the finish line. It was sitting beside us all along. In a cup of coffee with someone you love. A walk outside. Your health. A laugh with your child. A cuddle from your granddaughter. The dog waiting excitedly at the front door. The sun breaking through the clouds. These aren’t distractions from life. They are life. That doesn’t mean ambition is wrong. I love building things. I love coaching. I want Balanse to help millions of people. Purpose matters. Money matters. Meaningful work matters. But they should add to your life, not replace it. Success without health isn’t success. Success without relationships feels empty. Success without peace is exhausting. One thing becoming a grandmother has reminded me is how naturally children pay attention. A butterfly can occupy them for 10 minutes. A puddle is fascinating. A flower deserves inspecting. A stick can become a magic wand. Somewhere along the way, adults stop noticing. We’re rushing to the next meeting, checking another notification, thinking about tomorrow, reliving yesterday, and we completely miss today. So here’s today’s reset. Instead of asking what’s wrong with my life, ask what is already right. Maybe you woke up today. Maybe someone loves you. Maybe your body carried you through another day. Maybe you have food in your fridge. Maybe you have another chance to start again. Those things aren’t small. They’re the foundation everything else is built on. And here’s something I often ask coaching clients. Imagine you’re 90 years old. You’re looking back on today, what would your 90-year-old self wish you’d paid more attention to? The critical comment on social media or your daughter’s laugh? The email that annoyed you or watching the sunset? The comparison with someone else’s success or your own beautiful imperfect life? I think we already know the answer. So today, put your phone down for 10 minutes, go outside, call someone you love, notice something beautiful, say thank you, take a deep breath. Because the life you’re waiting for is already happening. Don’t miss it. Thanks for listening to The Daily Reset. If today’s episode resonated with you, share it with someone who might need the reminder. And remember, the things that matter most in life are often the things we stop noticing. See you tomorrow. The Tolerance Trap

How are you? Fine. How’s work? Fine. How are things at home? Fine. Fine sounds neutral. Harmless, even. But most of the time it’s not a description - it’s a shortcut. A way of compressing everything you’re actually feeling into something socially acceptable. A way of moving quickly instead of pausing long enough to ask: what am I actually feeling right now? And here’s the danger. When you’re unhappy, you know something is wrong. Unhappiness demands action. Fine doesn’t. Fine is comfortable enough to stay in. The most dangerous place to be in life isn’t unhappy. It’s fine. This was me. I spent thirty years building and scaling companies in financial services, technology and digital transformation. My last startup won Richard Branson’s Startup of the Year. From the outside, I looked successful. Behind the scenes I was overwhelmed, burning out, and tolerating far more than I realised. And the dangerous part - I was still performing well enough that nobody noticed. Including me. That’s the thing about drift and high-functioning people. It hides behind competence. The tolerance trap is what happens when something isn’t bad enough to force you to change - but isn’t good enough to allow you to thrive. You notice something doesn’t feel right. You learn to live with it. You rearrange yourself around it. You tell yourself it could be worse. And eventually, what you’re tolerating starts to feel normal. Nothing collapses dramatically. It just erodes. Because every day you tolerate something, you’re voting for it - again and again. You’d never run a business this way. In business you measure everything - revenue, performance, pipeline. You audit your business every quarter and never audit your life. Your life deserves the same discipline. So I recorded this session to walk you through it. In under twenty minutes you’ll do a full Tolerance Audit across five areas - mind, body, relationships, purpose and daily life - find your ripple tolerance (the one that shifts the others when it shifts), and decide what it needs: remove, repair, redesign or release. Then you’ll set one next right action - small enough to do in 24 hours, specific, and yours. You’ll need a notebook. Pause where I tell you to pause. And if you do the audit and want help with what you find - book a free call with me. We’ll look at your page together, find your ripple tolerance, and map out what remove, repair, redesign or release actually looks like for you. It’s not a pitch. It’s a conversation. The part of AI adoption that doesn’t appear in any vendor deck

Most organisations are under pressure to adopt AI quickly. And most are discovering that providing the tools and the training is the easy half. The hard half is human. Here’s the belief that runs through everything I teach on this: AI adoption isn’t a technology challenge. It’s a leadership and people challenge. I use this technology every day - I’ve built my whole business with it. AI will make your organisation faster. That part is already done. Speed is being solved. Direction is not. And direction is a human job - which means the organisation that wins with AI won’t be the one with the best tools. It’ll be the one whose people actually came with them. Most organisations provide licences, training sessions, a policy document, adoption targets. All necessary. None of it sufficient. Because what people actually need isn’t technical: clarity on what AI means for their role. Certainty about what’s permitted. Evidence that leaders see the human impact. Trust that this is being done with them, not to them. The gap between those two lists is where adoption quietly fails. You can’t close it with another training session — because it isn’t a knowledge gap. It’s a trust gap. In this 15-minute session I walk through the five warning signs that your people are being left behind. None of them show up in a dashboard. All of them show up in the exit interview: * Compliance without adoption - usage peaks at launch and never recovers * Silence in the room - you ask for questions and get none * Shadow use or no use - opposite behaviours, same root cause * Your best people going quiet - performance holds steady while discretionary effort disappears * Change fatigue dressed up as resistance Number four is the expensive one. Capable people rarely resist loudly. They keep delivering, right up until the resignation letter - and everyone’s surprised, except they shouldn’t be. The signal was there for months. It just wasn’t loud. The session also covers what resistance is really telling you, the five conditions for responsible, human-centred adoption, and three questions to take into your next leadership meeting. If you recognised your organisation in any of those warning signs - hit reply and tell me which one. I read every reply, and I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s something you can fix internally or something that deserves a proper look. Whatever stage of adoption you’re at: bring your people with you. It’s slower at the start - and faster everywhere after. Loral Get full access to Dear Loral at loralquinn.substack.com/subscribe
