010: You Still Have To Show Up And Do It

AI can write your workout plan, your apology text, and your five-year business roadmap in seconds, but it still cannot make you do a single rep. We recorded a raw, honest rant about why so many people are treating ChatGPT like a life coach and then wondering why nothing changes. The point is not that AI is bad, it is that we keep confusing faster information with real transformation.  We talk about practical ways we use AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude for day-to-day life: rewriting messages when a conversation feels delicate, making communication more thoughtful, and speeding up tasks like organizing numbers and even taxes. Then we draw a hard line: tools can guide you, but they cannot give you discipline, integrity, or follow-through. If you have the “perfect plan” but you are late, inconsistent, or avoid discomfort, the plan does not matter. That is where analysis paralysis sneaks in, because a detailed roadmap can feel like progress without any action.  We also zoom out to self-help, fitness, and personal finance to make a simple claim: we never had an information problem, we had an access problem. AI fixes access. It does not fix accountability, loneliness, chronic pain, or the daily choices that build a better life. If you want results, you still have to move your body, get outside, eat well, talk to people, and keep choosing the right next step. Subscribe, share this with a friend who loves “research” more than action, and leave a review with the one choice you’re committing to this week.

    007: Mid-Year Check-In: Small Choices, Big Life

Half the year is gone, and that can either spiral you or steady you. I’m choosing steady. From San Diego, I’m doing a simple mid-year check-in that starts where real change starts: your breath, your body, and a brutally honest look at how you’re actually doing. As I’ve gotten into my 30s, I’ve stopped believing that big life changes require big, dramatic moves. What works is small decisions that stack: earlier sleep, more water, fewer scroll sessions, a daily walk, 10 pages of reading, a five-minute stretch, calling your parents, showing up even when you don’t feel like it. I also break down what I call high-return actions, the habits that pay you back in multiple ways. Yoga and running are two great examples because they build fitness, calm your nervous system, improve mood, and help you keep promises to yourself. We also talk about peace and control. People disappoint you, plans change, life happens. I’m learning to stop wrestling with outcomes and focus on what I actually own: effort, attitude, consistency, health, honesty, and the willingness to keep showing up. I share the questions I’m asking for the second half of the year, including how to say yes with intention and no often enough to protect your energy. If this lands with you, follow the podcast, leave a rating, and share it with someone who needs a reset/checkin.
