When Did Enough Become So Much?

We’ve somehow created a version of motherhood where “enough” feels like the goal… Enough patience Enough money Enough time with the kids Enough work Enough exercise Enough sex Enough productivity Enough time for yourself And if we aren’t managing all of it? We assume we’re the problem 🤯 But guess what!? The problem isn’t that we’re not doing enough… It’s that we’ve been trying to live up to a definition of “enough” that was never designed around the reality of motherhood? In this episode, I’m unpacking the impossible expectations placed on modern women, from the evolution of women entering the workforce to the way motherhood, careers and unpaid work still collide in today’s society But this isn’t an episode about blaming society Because recognising that a system isn’t perfect doesn’t mean we have to hand our power over to it. We get to decide what success looks like in this season. We get to want a career AND want to be present with our kids. We get to be ambitious without doing everything at once. We get to admit that our capacity is finite And most importantly, we get to stop treating “enough” like something we have to earn Enough was never about becoming more was it? It was about deciding what actually matters to you, and giving yourself permission to live accordingly! This week, we’re rewriting the story of what “enough” means Because who told you what it was supposed to look like in the first place? Confession Time: Normalising Changing Your Mind

What if resilience isn't about pushing through? What if it's about having the courage to flip the script? In this real time, expression of my mind, solo episode, I'm sharing something that's been sitting heavily on my heart. My unexpected longing for the career I left behind in the marine biology world, and what it's taught me about identity, growth, and the pressure to stay consistent when people are watching. We've been taught that changing our minds means we've failed. That if we've announced our goals, built a business, changed careers, or stepped into a new season, we have to see it through no matter what to be successful & be a good girl But what if that's not resilience at all? Maybe resilience is allowing yourself to evolve. Maybe it's choosing again. In this episode, I'm sharing my point of view on: Why changing your mind isn't the same as giving up.The pressure to remain consistent in front of others.Missing a previous version of yourself without wanting your old life back. Why we confuse identity with permanence.Giving yourself permission to change direction at any stage of life.If you've ever questioned your career, your relationships, your dreams, or the person you're becoming, this conversation is for you Because choosing more doesn't always mean choosing bigger! Sometimes, it simply means choosing what feels true today ✨ If this episode resonated with you, I'd love for you to share it with someone who needs the reminder that they're allowed to change their mind. Your support through follows, ratings, reviews, and shares helps She Chose More reach more women who are learning to choose themselves, one brave decision at a time 💛

The Hidden Cost of Coping with Natalie Stecko

What if the thing helping you get through life is also keeping you from fully living it? In this powerful conversation, I sit down with alcohol freedom coach Natalie Stecko to explore the hidden role alcohol can play in our lives, not just as a drink, but as a coping mechanism. Natalie shares her deeply personal journey of questioning her relationship with alcohol, the identity shifts that followed, and what she discovered on the other side of choosing herself. Together, we unpack the emotional load so many women carry, the pressure to "hold it all together," and why numbing often feels easier than feeling. This isn't a conversation about labels, shame, or telling you to stop drinking. It's about awareness, curiosity, and giving yourself permission to ask bigger questions about what you're really seeking. Whether alcohol feels like a big part of your life or something you rarely think about, this episode offers a compassionate perspective on coping, healing, and reclaiming your authenticity. The Most Expensive Story You'll Ever Tell Yourself

The Most Expensive Story You'll Ever Tell Yourself... What if the biggest thing holding you back isn't your circumstances... but the story you've been telling yourself about them? In this solo ep, I'm diving into one of the most costly mindsets we can fall into, the belief that our past, our setbacks, or our current situation get the final say over our future. This isn't about ignoring pain or pretending life is easy. It's about recognising the difference between what happened to you and the story you've chosen to carry ever since. We'll explore: Why victim mentality is often disguised as self-protection.The hidden cost of giving away your power. How your internal dialogue shapes your identity and decisions. The difference between blame and responsibility.Practical ways to reclaim ownership of your life, one thought at a time. If you've ever caught yourself thinking, "Why does this always happen to me?" or "I'll never be able to...", this episode is for you! Because the most expensive story you'll ever tell yourself isn't the one about what happened... It's the one about who you believe you are because of it. Loved this episode? Losing Yourself & Finding More with Emily East - Motherhood, Identity & Discovering Your More

Episode 2:  Losing Yourself & Finding More with Emily East - Motherhood, Identity & Discovering Your More What happens when the version of yourself that once felt so familiar no longer fits? In the second episode of She Chose More, I sit down with Emily East to explore the evolution of identity through motherhood, entrepreneurship, personal growth, and life's unexpected transitions. Emily shares her own journey and reflects on the moments that challenged her to redefine success on her own terms. Together, we unpack the pressure many women feel to "go back" to who they were before children, and why true growth often comes from allowing ourselves to become someone entirely new. This conversation is an honest and empowering reminder that choosing more doesn't mean doing more, it can mean trusting yourself enough to evolve. In this episode, we discuss: • The identity shifts that come with motherhood • Letting go of who you used to be • Building a business while raising a family • Ambition, purpose, and personal fulfilment • Navigating seasons of reinvention • The power of self-trust and intuition • Creating success that feels aligned • What choosing more means in different stages of life About Emily Emily East is a teacher, former coach & somatic therapist, author & podcast host!
