    Navigating the Age of AI

The AI Era is here, whether you like it or not. After nonstop talk of AI's inevitability during the last few years, we are now faced with integrating this change on many levels simultaneously: in our work, in our relationships, as a society, and even in warfare. Recent news indicates increased oversight of AI, and more caution around its accelerating influence: 1.) The Florida Attorney General sued OpenAI and Sam Altman, claiming that the company's ChatGPT puts children at risk of harm. 2.) Donald Trump signed an executive order mandating that all new frontier AI models must be reviewed by the government before they are released to partners/the public. 3.) Pope Leo and the Vatican released an encyclical on AI calling to recenter human dignity in the debate about AI implementation — especially in War, which was echoed by JD Vance. Some may wish to put the genie back in the bottle, but as we note, Pandora's box can't be resealed. As content creators and members of Gen Z, we understand the fear associated with this new technology and the threat it poses to our humanity (through potential job loss and global conflict), but also the possible benefits that will improve life for most people, including life-saving medical applications and hopefully economic growth.
