    John now has a second act filled with meaning, creativity, and rediscovery.

    From Oxford University to a high flying career in finance, becoming FD of CEGB and The National Grid. Retiring early, he created a portfolio career as the chairman of small companies. After achieving a degree in divinity, he became a novelist, with book number 4 imminent. He writes to give life meaning, through second-chance love stories. A good footballer and cricketer in his youth, but now a poor golfer.  His advice - dont join a golf club if you are not good enough! His retirement advice: indulge your interests.

    Vince’s advice for those about to retire - Don’t!

    Retirement doesn’t mean slowing down. Quite the reverse. Make the most of every moment. Vince has 200,000 followers on social media in China, lecturing at universities, as well as finding time to write books and visit China and India for business. He chairs companies and supports local businesses and charities. And keeps fit with dancing, cycling, and going to the gym. Impressive for someone in his eighties, and finds time for his loving family. An outstanding role model for potential retirees.

    For Steve retirement evolved naturally without a plan and its working well.

    Steve’s advice: try something new and if it doesn’t work for you - change it. He is relearning the piano, taking lessons left behind as a 12 year old. Helping to look after 6 grandchildren, volunteering for the National Trust and local council, learning new languages and holidaying where they are spoken!

Daily walking and cycling for fitness His mantra: we are only here once, it doesn't last long so make the most of it. (don't watch too much TV!)
