Let it Go | Mike Castelli | Genesis 22:1-19

In most of our stories, we should be able to recognize moments when God either brings a test to us or allows a circumstance to enter so that our faith in and on Him is refined and proved worthy. It’s a test; a good test. And so often, this refining test involves hanging onto something (or not), that you value more than your relationship with Him. How do you respond? In your story of life in Jesus, you will have choices that prove to Him and yourself, that you cherish nothing more than Him… or not. And how you choose will be those critical times in life when you can know Him more, or become embittered, disgruntled and disobedient. If God asked you to let go of something, would you do it? And is there anything in your life which He cannot ask you to lay down? In fact, Scripture tells us that we live in this ‘present darkness’ where spiritual forces of evil are very real, present and active. And God has made a way of defense to keep us and make us to stand, for He has overcome the darkness, and He who dwells in us is greater than he who is in the world. Are you aware of the forces of evil in this present darkness, and have you put on the armor of God that will keep you safe in the spiritual realm?
