The Community Side of WWDC with Adrian Eves

For this special episode of Developer Commentary: Community Stories, Kai and Malin record from the WWDC podcast studio at Apple Park with Adrian Eaves. We talk about the community events that make WWDC week feel so special, how the week has evolved into a choose-your-own-adventure of meetups, watch parties, sessions, and hangouts, and why the developer community around WWDC matters whether or not you have a ticket. Adrian shares how Community Kit grew in its second year, what it takes to bring different community groups together, and what he wants to improve next time. We also talk about how Core Coffee grew from a small Vancouver coffee meetup into a packed WWDC week gathering, and why simple, low-pressure events can be such a powerful way to bring people together. Later in the episode, Adrian talks about SwiftSonic, his music-themed iOS developer conference in Nashville, including its headliner/opener speaker format and how he thinks about pairing newer speakers with more experienced ones.
