Boudoir After Dark 013 - She Found Her Soulmate, Built a Business & Survived Cancer

In Episode 13 of Boudoir After Dark, we sit down with MissKyleigh — cancer survivor, grad student in clinical mental health, kink educator, top-leaning switch, aftercare and drop presenter, and co-founder of Smacks & Wax — the wildly popular handcrafted kink toy and wax play candle business she built with her wife in under two years. MissKyleigh came in as a vendor neighbor and left as someone who might genuinely change how you think about kink. This episode goes everywhere: how a stolen toy bag inspired a business, why she hand-selects exotic wood and hand-delivers candles in summer heat to protect quality, the full breakdown of wax play temperature science (and why beeswax at 180° will absolutely burn you), and how lightning fractal paddles are made — from three feet away, with a button, because electricity must be respected. But it's the personal stories that will stop you cold. MissKyleigh talks about falling for her wife across a munch table, waiting patiently through five years and a gender transition, proposing ten days after cancer surgery with a ring box hidden in a Christmas ornament and 37 written reasons she should say yes. She opens up about the fibromyalgia she only discovered after a car accident, the drop she experienced after a convention, the mental breakdown she nearly didn't come back from, and why she took over an aftercare class the week a beloved presenter suddenly passed away — and why she won't stop giving that class. This is the episode about what it looks like to love your community so hard you cross the country alone in an SUV, nearly pass out at 8,640 feet of elevation, and still set up your booth. 🛒 Find Smacks & Wax on Etsy: SmacksAndWax 📍 FetLife: MissKyleigh 🌐 More from us: boudoirafterdark.com ⚠️ This podcast is for adults 18+. Boudoir After Dark 012 - Black, Kink & Healing: The Doctor of Kink is In

In Episode 12 of Boudoir After Dark, we sit down with Dr. Yulinda Renee Rahman — aka DocYuRoc — doctor of sexology, licensed therapist, kink educator, founder of the Therapeutic BDSM Collaborative Network, creator of Self-Reconciliation Therapy, director of the Kink Professional Standards Alliance, publisher of the Journal of Kinking Community, and one of the most compellingly brilliant humans we have ever had in this studio. She came in to talk about kink. She ended up dismantling everything we thought we knew about trauma, healing, identity, anger, and what it actually means to reconcile with yourself. Doc Yu Roc breaks down why 90% of her therapy clients had some form of sexual trauma — and why 64% of people overall are interested in kink, making kink the statistical majority, not the exception. She unpacks her landmark dissertation "Healing the Angry Black Woman," explains why she created a safe space specifically for Black folks to talk about kink without shame, and introduces us to her four-pillar Self-Reconciliation Therapy framework: self-awareness, acceptance, self-attunement, and atonement. She also shares her first-ever therapeutic BDSM session — virtual, deeply vulnerable, and more revealing than six years of doctoral research — and drops one of the most quotable lines in BAD history: "It's not about forgiving anyone else. It's about forgiving yourself for forgetting who you are." And she did all of this while raising three kids, working out of her own pocket, getting told she'd never be published — and responding by starting her own journal. Boudoir After Dark 010 - Philosophy of a 24/7 Dominant: Why Connection Changes Everything in a Scene

In Episode 10 of Boudoir After Dark, we welcome Evil Johnny — edge player, sadist, service top, Daddy Dom, dominant, fire play specialist, and self-described reaction junkie — who drove four hours to be here and gave us one of the wildest, most surprisingly philosophical episodes we've ever recorded. Evil Johnny has been in the lifestyle since 2013 and lives it 24/7. He owns over 200 implements including his legendary hardwood paddle "Captain Caveman," a 49-inch, 8-pound flogger called "Cousin It," and a fire whip he commissioned on a whim and learned to use in front of an entire campground. He brands his toys with his name, and if one ever draws blood — it goes home with the bottom permanently. That's his code. We dig into what it actually means to be a sadist (hint: it requires trust, connection, and genuine consent — not just someone to hit), why he ends scenes before the safe word gets called, the CNC torture scene that ended with a branding iron and a blood-curdling scream heard across a campground at breakfast, and the top drop that followed. We talk fire flogging, fire bubbles, fire whipping, Florentine technique, fluid bonding, relationship anarchy, hydration and lotion as impact prep, the kink dispenser problem, and why bloodied implements belong to the person who bled on them. And then — unexpectedly — one of the most grounded conversations about joy, needs versus wants, and what it means to truly hear someone we've ever had on this show. 🔗 Find Evil Johnny on FetLife: Evil-Johnny 🌐 More from us: https://linktr.ee/BoudoirAfterDark ⚠️ This podcast is for adults 18+. Boudoir After Dark 009 - Age Play, Pet Play & the Kinks Nobody Wants to Talk About

In Episode 9 of Boudoir After Dark, we sit down with Alice — a licensed therapist, certified kink educator with over 15 years of experience, neurodiversity specialist, and one of the most compelling voices we've ever had in this studio. She specializes in marginalized kinks, neurodivergent identity, and the emerging field of therapeutic BDSM, and she brought enough knowledge to fill a semester. We go places this show has never gone. Alice breaks down age play, dark age play, ABDL, pet play, pony play, kitten play, and otherkin with zero judgment and total clarity. She explains why some of the most stressed-out people in the world — air traffic controllers, caregivers, executives — are drawn to the little space, and why a giant Nerf war at a Chicago age play convention made her feel more healed than she had in years. But the moment that stopped everything? Her answer to whether kink comes from trauma. It doesn't — she says. What does come from trauma is the self-awareness that leads someone to kink in the first place. That one sentence will change how you think about this entire community. We also dig into consent fatigue, kink frenzy, the double empathy problem in neurodivergent relationships, why fear play is a legitimate kink with zero sexual component, therapeutic BDSM as an emerging clinical model, how to find a kink-competent therapist, and the KPSA certification program trying to standardize kink education for the first time. This is the most academic, most therapeutic, and somehow most fun episode we've ever done. 🔗 Find Alice on FetLife: Alice is Missing 🔥 Resources: KPSA - https://thekpsa.org/ National Coalition for Sexual Freedom - https://ncsfreedom.org/ Kink Aware Professionals Directory - https://www.kapprofessionals.org/ BDST Test - https://bdsmtest.org/ 🌐 We create art for the unapologetically erotic: https://boudoirafterdark.com/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@BoudoirAfterDark Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/boudoirafterdark_chicago/ Fet: https://fetlife.com/BoudoirAfterDark ⚠️ This podcast is for adults 18+. Boudoir After Dark 008 - How To Be A Domme & Still Be Home For Dinner

In Episode 8 of the Boudoir After Dark podcast, we sit down with Mistress Autumn — a 25-year veteran of the kink lifestyle, dungeon educator, dungeon monitor, and one of the most respected names in the Chicagoland kink community — for one of the most grounded, practical, and genuinely eye-opening episodes we've ever recorded. Mistress Autumn's journey started with a highway billboard for a hotel takeover in the late 90s, wound through years of long-distance online dominance via Skype and war gaming chats, and evolved into a full, deeply intentional lifestyle that she balances alongside marriage, children, and a full vanilla life. She is a dominant through and through — and knew it the moment she walked into her first BDSM room and thought "if someone hits me, I'm hitting them back." This episode is packed with wisdom that took decades to earn. We dig into her Google Form questionnaire that screens potential subs before they ever meet, the terrifying lessons she learned the hard way — a sub on blood thinners who bruised badly, a sub with undisclosed mental health issues who flipped mid-scene, and a man who asked for electroplay while hiding the fact that he had a pacemaker. We break down why she tells newbies to skip munches and go straight to education classes, the difference between a consent violation and a misunderstanding, and why the submissive — not the dominant — is actually the one who holds all the power. Plus: her husband's reaction to watching her in action for the first time, beating a sub into the New Year at midnight while everyone else grabbed champagne, and the conversation she had with her daughter about why some people like to be hit. This one is a masterclass.   🌐 We create art for the unapologetically erotic: https://boudoirafterdark.com/ 🌐 Resource mentioned: bdsmtest.org (free) YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@BoudoirAfterDark Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/boudoirafterdark_chicago/ Fet: https://fetlife.com/BoudoirAfterDark ⚠️ This podcast is for adults 18+. Boudoir After Dark 007 - From Abusive Dom to Head Mistress: One Woman's Journey to Powe

In Episode 7 of Boudoir After Dark, we sit down with the magnetic and deeply candid Mistress Natalya — Head Mistress of Milwaukee's Club FEM, founder of FREE (Femdom Relationship Education and Exploration), educator at Inversion dungeon, and 15-year veteran of the kink lifestyle who also holds a master's degree in theology and spent 15 years teaching at Catholic schools. This episode goes places we've never gone before. Mistress Natalya opens up about her terrifying entry into kink through an abusive, non-consensual "dom" she found on Craigslist, the nine-and-a-half year relationship that taught her who she really was, and the moment she realized she wasn't submissive at all — she was a mistress. She breaks down the difference between a top, a dom, and a mistress (it's not what you think), explains why she separates power exchange completely from sex, and walks us through orgasm control, gentle humiliation, CBT, sounding, needle play, and the art of dual single-tail whipping — including how she practices by hitting bells on a chain spiderweb. We also get into the psychology of why BDSM draws people in (her roller coaster analogy is unforgettable), what separates a fantasy mistress from a real one, what it means to live the lifestyle 24/7 without a slave in your house, and how she lost most of her family but found her chosen one. Plus — she reads both of your hosts in about 30 seconds flat. One of the most riveting, real, and wildly educational conversations we've ever had. 🔗 Find Mistress Natalya on FetLife: MistressNatalya  🏛️ Club FEM Milwaukee | FREE Organization | Inversion Dungeon Milwaukee 🌐 More from us: boudoirafterdark.com ⚠️ This podcast is for adults 18+.
