Now, a half-century later, your hosts Diane Juhas and Dr. Allison Hickey (both proud members of the USAFA Class of 1980) are on a mission to preserve these groundbreaking women's stories. In this kickoff episode, Diane and Allison take you back in time to explore the history, the cultural shifts, and the long road that brought us to this historic change. Joining the conversation to break down the events leading up to women entering the nation's service academies are two powerhouse classmates and military historians: Dr. Karen Willhelm and Dr. Ginny Caine Tonneson.
