    Namaste Dosti - Lesson 11

    Hi Friends, Hard to believe, but we finished lesson 11! Yes, we are still alive. Not sure if we will continue to do podcasts, as there are so many good resources out there with native speakers. However I'm planning to add more transcripts for the existing podcasts. Anyway, in this episode we talk about family and vacation, and our movie song is Kuch na kaho from the movie of the same title (Stars: Abhishek Bacchan and Ashvariya Rai).     Namaste Dosti - Lesson 10

    Dear friends, here is our 10th lesson. We are having a dialog about a Hindi book and another one about Santosh's new baby. (Congrats Santosh!) After that a little grammar - Conditional sentences. Our movie song is "Tujhe Dekha To" from the movie "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, sang by Kumar Sanu and Lata Mangeshkar.     Namaste Dosti - Lesson 8

    Namaste Dosti, we finally finished lesson 8. Sorry about the long wait. Does it count as excuse that I just broke my arm? So typing and editing is taking a bit longer.     Namaste Dosti - Lesson 7

    Hard to believe, but we finished lesson 7! To our defense for the long wait, the podcast is pretty long and packed with new stuff. We are talking about going to the Garba, we are learning vocabulary about time and new numbers and we have a dialog about a planned vacation. Our Bollywood song comes to you by suggestion of a listener: It is the title song of the 1977 Movie "Hum kisi se kum nahin" - a qawali song.     Namaste Dosti - Lesson 2

    We are happy to announce that lesson 2 has been finished! This one is slightly longer than the first one. Here is an overview over the content: There is a dialog and new words about where you are from (Are you punjabi?) We have another short dialog with new words like room, big, small, clean and dirty. As special treat, we will translate a line from a Bollywood movie song. We used a variety of speakers this time. Thanks to everyone for their help! We hope you enjoy lesson 2! Pher melange!     Welcome friends to Namaste Dosti, the Learn Hindi Podcast. I have been looking around for a good Hindi podcast and could not find one - so I decided to create my own. With the help of my Hindi speaking friends, we will try to provide an interesting and effective podcast to help you learn Hindi. Listen here to the podcast. Great News: The script for Lesson 1 is now available. No Hindi letters (Devanagari script) yet, but with time, we will add this as well...
