Unloving & Lacking Grace

I’m Reformed and share many theological views with this speaker, but it’s hard listening to him speak because there’s a lack of love in what he says. Sin offends God, but how we speak truth matters, too. I’ve never heard such a lack of love from a Christian speaker in over a decade. He also misrepresented Friel’s views on the infamous v-mandate; and I hope it wasn’t intentional. It felt like slander the things he accused Friel of, and I sincerely hope it was unintentional and that he only listened to 30 seconds of Friel’s talk about the mandate. If it was unintentional and he doesn’t know the entire context, it’s sloppy as a podcast host at its worst. It’s unnerving if he was intentionally misrepresenting Friel. It feels more like a podcast intended to self righteously slam others instead of lovingly convicting us of what Scripture says. And I enjoy a good spiritual kick in the butt… but this doesn’t convict me. It has me so busy judging the speck in other people I don’t see the beam in my own eye. I don’t need a podcast that has me hating my neighbour and brothers/sisters in Christ. I need something to encourage me to Christ likeness. No anger here, but absolutely praying that the Lord would soften this brother’s heart!!

Dangerous Sickness

Religion is a dangerous thing. Tell grandpa to stop insulting a teenager with more will and sense than he has. A louder and clearer view of the real world. Demons and gods are fake. Scientific facts are real.
