Mr. Reed doesn't seem to understand that we are held responsible for how our sin separates those that hear/read our words from God. It doesn't really matter what the intention is, if the result is sin, we bear that to our judgement. We can hope that God's Grace is broad enough and deep enough for Mr. Reed that his salvation is not in jeapardy, despite the hateful, ignorant words that Mr. Reed spews. I assume that his pride was bruised by his desire to save as many souls during his life as Mr Lewis did during an average week, years after his death. Its just so sad. To paraphrase, "Mr Reed," said Jesus. "Take heed. Your doom is very near, but you may still avoid it. Forget your pride (what have you to be proud of?) and your anger (who has done you wrong?) and accept...mercy... "Have a care, Mr.Reed, said Jesus quietly. The doom is nearer now: it is at the door: it has lifted the latch... Reed the ridiculous, your judgement approaches"
