To be fair, this is an issue that goes beyond this podcast, but most ‘vocal trance’ is horrible because it’s endless repetition of trite vocal clips that just isn’t interesting. I’m hearing more and more of it on this show, which was once a safe island in the land of EDM podcasts. Nowadays, I find myself fast forwarding through at least 2-3 tracks, as well as the inevitable ‘renegade master’ sample that’s going to get dropped somewhere.
Beyond that, Solarstone still talks too much, and I can’t stand his endless commentary about the quality (or lack of them) of his segues between tracks.
So, why do I listen to it, still? It’s still better than most of the other podcasts out there, but with each passing week I find myself less and less inclined to give it my time and attention.
