    Acknowledging God's Presence

We have to access God by inviting Him into our hearts, the affairs that we are tending to, this makes sure we are aware that we're asking for His guidance in what we are doing. So many times we go into situations and circumstances we think are minor or that we can easily control which end up controlling us, usually these are matters we kind of know they are fleshly led not really desiring the answer we know we will get from God.

    Disciplined by God

All of us experience hardships, trials, afflictions in life! Why does God allow His children to suffer? He does so as a means of disciplining us. As believers we often suffer painful consequences for our sins, but we will never experience God's judgment for them as our sins were paid in full by Christ at the cross. But God disciplines us as corrective punishment for our sins! He seeks to correct bad behavior and to draw us close to Himself! God at times disciplines us to prevent us from danger and sin. He also disciplines by educating us as to His greatness and our need to depend on Him! God's discipline proves God's love for us and that we are legitimate children of God! For whom the Lord loves, He chastens! And He does so that we might experience fullness of life and holiness of character! His aim is not to make us happy, as discipline can be painful, but rather that we might be holy!

    Pleading for Mercy

This sermon examines Psalm 6 as a profound expression of David's grief and conviction following his sin with Bathsheba. It highlights the devastating physical and spiritual consequences of unconfessed sin, emphasizing that God chastens His children to provoke repentance. The message contrasts David's initial misery and broken fellowship with God against his subsequent joy and restored peace after he honestly confessed his guilt. By illustrating that God hears the prayers of those who turn to Him in humility, the sermon encourages believers to seek mercy and restoration through Christ rather than attempting to hide their failures. The tone is pastoral and convicting, urging the audience to abandon the pretense of happiness in sin and embrace the freedom found in divine forgiveness.

    The Renegade Prophet

This sermon examines the character of Jonah in the first chapter of his book, highlighting the tension between his divine commission and his subsequent flight to Tarshish. The central message addresses the spiritual danger of disobedience, illustrating how a 'down-slidden' state erodes a believer's communion with God and their compassion for others. Through the narrative of the storm and the sailors' reaction, the text contrasts Jonah's hollow profession with the genuine fear and repentance displayed by the Gentile crew. The preacher emphasizes that while God chastens His children, He also uses their failures to reveal His sovereignty and mercy, ultimately pointing to Christ as the greater Jonah who appeases God's wrath. The sermon concludes with a call for believers to recover from spiritual decline through reverent fear, sacrificial praise, and resolute vows to live consistently with their faith.

Judges Ep. 3. Enemies Far and Near | Verse by Verse Bible Study

In Judges 3, we are introduced to the first three judges of Israel: Othniel, Ehud, and Shamgar. This study follows the cycle of Israel's departure from the Lord, the oppression that followed, their cry for deliverance, and the Lord's gracious intervention. As we work verse by verse through the chapter, we consider the different enemies God used to chasten His people—from a distant invader from Mesopotamia to the nearby Moabites and the Philistine raiders—and how the Lord raised up deliverers at the appointed time.
