Stocks from USC football spring camp, takeaways and sponsoring Bloom Center

Despite corporate differences and new jobs, Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino are reunited once again, returning to the microphones to talk about USC's recently completed spring camp and what they learned about the 2026 squad during the five-week period. While they may no longer work for the same company, the podcasting duo aren't skipping any of the classics, opening up with the Two-Minute Drill  where Shotgun talks baseball and Chris talks about the changes taking place in his job. The boys of Helium then jump into prior comments and stocks talking about in depth...about depth...of the offensive line as well as discussing the coaching style and teaching of the Trojans' new defensive staff. They give their spring takeaways with highlights and concerns. Jayden Maiava's leadership and continued improvement is discussed as well as what to make of the freshman class that featured 31 incoming players for the spring. The Helium Boys then dive into the second half of the show to get Shotgun's reaction to some post-spring camp themed Take It Or Leave It topics. The hosts also discuss naming rights as the show ends with the Overtime period where Shotgun has to blind rank the best naming opportunities in the Bloom Center.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Andy Stankiewicz discusses how USC baseball can bounce back from UCLA sweep

The Dedeaux Download Podcast returns with Shotgun Spratling and podcast co-host Kasey Kazliner breaking down USC baseball's first series loss of the season after the Trojans were swept by No. 1 UCLA after getting a midweek win in the rain against UC Santa Barbara. They also talk with USC head coach Andy Stankiewicz and look at what USC needs to do to bounce back with another midweek matchup with UC Santa Barbara and a weekend series against Iowa coming up. In the first half of the show, Stankiewicz talks about the Trojans being swept by UCLA and the reflective process he goes through after the conclusion of a series lost. The head coach also discusses what the team can learn from playing the No. 1 team in the nation and how the coaching staff can help individual players get back on track. Stankiewicz also tells the story of the chat he had with sophomore Augie Lopez that has helped spur on his recent surge of hitting safely in 10 of the last 11 games and talks about why the Trojans have been so aggressive on the basepaths. He also discusses USC's bullpen usage and who could be earning more opportunities in the second half of the season. After a break, Shotgun and Kasey break down the Trojans' 1-3 week in the Three Up, Three Down segment, looking at the negatives and finding a couple of positives from the UCLA series sweep. Shotgun and Kasey close out the show taking a look at where the Trojans' stand in the rankings and previewing a big bounce back opportunity for USC as it heads up to UC Santa Barbara on Tuesday before welcoming Iowa to Dedeaux Field over the weekend. Coach Harvey Hyde gives his thoughts on USC spring football 2026

On this episode of the Peristyle Podcasts hosts Ryan Abraham and Coach Harvey Hyde are back together discussing the Trojans wrapping up spring football with a lot of positive takeaways from the five weeks of workouts. With the defensive staff upgraded and 31 new incoming freshman on campus, the team should be poised for a run at the College Football Playoffs. Coach Hyde feels this is the time for Lincoln Riley to shine and there should be no excuses why this program can't take care of business on the field this fall. The guys also talk about how this is the end of an era, with the final football practice that the team will come out of the John McKay Center and cross the street to get to Howard Jones Field. In the fall the Bloom Center will open and players can come right out of the building onto the practice field. Once again USC did not host a traditional spring game and Coach Hyde felt it was a missed opportunity for the team to put one final showcase together and get another weekend of headlines heading into the long off-season. Fans will be able to check out the team on Saturday, April 11 for the Fan Appreciation Day along with the great Swim with Mike event. Coach Harvey Hyde has been part of the Peristyle Podcast since 2008 and in the USC football world he is an expert on X's and O's, personnel, coaching philosophies and recruiting. Tunnel Vision: That's a wrap on USC spring football practice 2026

On this latest edition of Tunnel Vision USCFootball.com's Ryan Abraham, RJ Abeytia and intern India Otto are back in studio talking about the Trojans finishing up spring practice with practices on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with media availability and closed practice Saturday morning in the Coliseum. This spring went by quickly, with four practices per week instead of the usual three and the back-to-back format pushed the players and coaches to keep their focus in each and every workout. The crew discusses this final week of practice with offensive and defensive players speaking plus head coach Lincoln Riley, giving their thoughts on everything they heard and saw during the open portions of practice. They also take a look back at all the major news and notes from the past five weeks of spring practice and give their big picture analysis of how Riley, new defensive coordinator Gary Patterson, the new assistants and 31 new freshman faces navigated this extremely important stretch of workouts for the development of this team. This is the podcast version of our Tunnel Vision video show. USC hitting the home stretch of spring football practices

In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, RJ Abeytia and intern India Otto are back in studio talking about the Trojans nearing the end of spring football 2026. The team was out on Howard Jones Field Tuesday and Wednesday morning for practices No. 12 and No. 13 respectively, and now there are only two workouts left coming up on Friday and Saturday mornings. The crew gives an update on the injury situation, with a few new names added to the list but still nothing serious with everyone expected to be able to participate in off-season workouts this summer. They also talk about some of the drills that were run during the open portions of practice this week, including a fun looking punt coverage drill where gunners tried to down the ball as close to the goal line as possible without letting the ball go into the end zone. Head coach Lincoln Riley spoke on Wednesday morning and they discuss what he said plus what stood out from the offensive players media scrums on Tuesday and the defensive players earlier this morning. They also discuss the new SP+ rankings that came out, with the Trojans coming in at No. 13 in the country and why there is optimism that USC could be ranked even higher with the improvements made on special teams.
