I started listening because of the reviews of the Dresden Files, and I enjoyed those so much that I subscribed. He keeps it short, and gives a good review of the books, along with fun trivia. Loved it!

This is a book review podcast without the naval gazing. Chris keeps it short and sweet. He tells you if he liked the book or not, hits the key points of why or why not, and then reads a few bits. He’s not doing deep literary analysis or dry book reports and it works well. Chris’ delivery is also spot on. His voice is NPR smooth and his asides are quirky.
I would recommend that you start at the beginning because although the episodes can be stand alone experiences there is a through line: the rise and eventual fall of Paul. I won’t spoil it but take my word, it’s riveting drama.
I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because Chris’ room is incredibly messy.
p.s. if iTunes hadn’t asked me not to use “profanity or overtly sexual language” this review would have been quite different.
