    As we enter 2012 I took a reflective look back over some of the great music I have encountered this year from all genres, but in particular I was struck by a soulful vibe which seemed to fit the moment. Here is the result of that feeling – a rough n' ready, impulsive mix that had me digging around the crates to feed that need for soulful tunes in that moment.     House? Check. Disco? Check. Funk? Check. Soul? Check. This ones got a few twists and turns to keep you guessing, but keeps it upbeat throughout.
