Should be better.

You would think that a showing of a collection of the brightest minds would be an unbelievable podcast. Well you'd be wrong.
Terrible sound quality.
Unfocused editing.
Surprisingly unprofessional.
Will give one or two more episodes a try but don't have my hopes up.

Poor audio quality hurts podcast

While the fact that Mensa produces its own series of educational podcasts is excellent, the result is the worst audio experience of any podcast I listen to. The host, whose monochromatic voice is definitely not suited for radio, throws the body of the podcast over to a remote interviewer who then interviews the subject by telephone! In the age of decent, affordable, stereo mics and reliable remote audio capture software, this seems like a totally unnecessary compromise.
