Rubber’s sets are all about versatility, he is equally at home dropping an Afro Tech club set, Beach / Sunset House vibes, Disco, Funk, Soulful House, Progressive / Trance or some fat Breakbeats plus he loves Drum and Bass. No matter what genre he is playing you will not find anything minimal, it is all about the melody and soul, hence his Slammin, Melodic, Electronic Music tagline. Nobody is going to get short changed either on set length on his watch. Rubber is renowned for journey sets with an average set being 3-4 and upto a record 9 hours long. Currently in Dubai, previously London Matt Rubin aka Rubber has always loved his tunes. In London he ran his own JamBasha parties and rooms in association with House Music Heavyweights Kinky Malinki. In Dubai Matt had a residency at Fratelli and played regularly with Radio 1s / Hollaphonic’s Greg Stainer. Now with 3 kids and various sporting engagements live sets are limited. My gift back to everyone that loves their tunes is a regular podcast that spans the genres of decent electronic music. DJ's, Groups and Tours Supported: Nick Warren, Bobby & Steve, Sebastian Ingrosso, K-Klass, Hoxton Whores, George Morel, CJ Mackintosh, Greg Stainer, Ian Carey, Choci, Drumattic Twins, Blank and Jones, Mische Daniels, Gordon Edge, Shades of Rhythm, Abigail Bailey, Raymundo Rogriguez, Graham Sahara, James Jackson, Mark Robinson, Grant Richards, Andy Ward, Dale Hooks, DJ Blush, Mark Dynamix, The Persuaders, Jamie Lee Wilson, DJ Flex, Afroboogie, Tom Craft, Stoneface & Terminal, Tocadisco and more... I only buy AIFFS and I have started keeping my WAV recordings (96,000hz 32-bit) of my mixes which i then rip to flac for playing in HD at home. These are 2-4GB a pop but if anyone wants to listen in HD then contact me on matt_rubin@yahoo.com. Enjoy the music! Big Love Rubber

142 - Vocal House - No Promises (Culture Middle Set)

Culture is a vocal house movement pioneered by Mick Willow and Alex Simmons with tracks released on Culture Sound Recordings. Culture held its launch party in Dubai in Feb26 pre war which was wild 12:00 to 12:00. They had Julie McKnight booked for the for the 2nd one which will be held when things settle in future. Culture is for non pretentious yet discerning house music lovers. I did some digging in my record crates (USB) to find some vocal house classics from over the years. The result is No Promises. 22 tunes and 2 hours of 'vocal house' spanning a few House genres. I could see this as a middle/bridge set at the event. Note the incredible album artwork from Lee Jackson at Rebel Creates featuring the follow up sunrise from Ep141's sunset. Turn it up, enjoy!Tracklist:1 Back To Life (Booker T Kings Of Soul Satta Dub) Soul II Soul, Booker T 2 Most Precious Love (Michael Gray Remix) Blaze, UDAUFL, Barbara Tucker, Michael Gray 3 Believe feat. 141 - Soulful House - Take Me Home (Culture Warm Up Set)

Unprecedented year.... Started messing with some soulful tunes to use for warm up sets at Mick Willow and Simmo's new Vocal House day night party called Culture on the Palm in Dubai. Got a little sidetracked and August arrived! This is a 2hr mix of soulful classics and some new tunes I bought. Not the tightest mixing, it has been a while! Also a few live instrument tracks with varied tempo that were a nightmare to mix, Nevertheless I really hope you enjoy these Soulful tunes, they are meant to spread love and feeling good. I'll be back ASAP with a b2b set with Pasha aka Scrappy 'Fluff' Do.Tracklist:Live A Lil' (Suges Remix) Meropa Park 2 Lift Me Up (Original Mix) Domenico Albanese3 Shiver (Mark Di Meo Remix) The Soultrend Orchestra, Frankie Pearl, Mark Di Meo 4 Spread Your Love (Original Extended Mix) Sea 'N' Soul 5 La Fique (Original Mix) Robosonic, Adana Twins 16 Take Me Home Twisted House 124.00 07:30 Take Me Home 7 Missing You (Original Mix) Carlos Vargas, Nicole Mitchell 8 Voices (Original Mix) Luis Radio 9 Hold On (Original Mix) Mark Di Meo, Laura Jackson10 Rainbow feat. 140 - Festival Set - Full Circle

Not being full time on music makes it hard to stay on top of things. Respect to my friend Pasha for driving me forward with his interest in DJ'ing at the start of his journey. However, thankfully good music is timeless..... This is a really different set on many levels. It based on tunes I have heard and loved from festival sets around the world over the last 2 years. This set spans various house genres (afro, indie, tribal, melodic techno, soulful, etc.) but isn't delivered in a typical build up journey. It almost peaks in the middle from an up-tempo perspective. The programming of the flow fell in place first shot which has never happened before. Was not easy getting some of these tunes despite their age, had to search hard Bandcamp, SoundCloud, etc. I have only used hires files (AIFF) for 10 years but there are 2 here that I could only get on MP3. Unorthodox yes but this is a set of JAMS I absolutely love. I could imagine playing this during the day at a festival (Big Chill in my mind). As ever please like, comment and share. It is an inspiration to get your messages, it means everything. Anyway time to listen, please turn it up and enjoy!Tracklist:1 Superman Damien Lazarus edit 2 On My Knees (Adriatique Remix) Adriatique / RÜFÜS DU SOL 3 Break My Love (Samm Remix) Samm / RÜFÜS DU SOL 4 No End Da Africa Deep & NuroGroove 5 You Can Dance Now (Original Mix) Liva K 6 Push The Feeling On. 138 - Rubber Stamped Progressive - Under The Sun

Inspired by Scrappy Do aka Pasha making his 2nd set recently, I had a window last Friday and did some solid record shopping. Bought 36 tunes to fuel 2 different styled mixes. I recorded the first mix om the Saturday and the second om the Sunday. Both were unplanned and blind recorded really. With tunes from Trilucid, Gai Barone, Dave Seaman, Cendryma, D-Nox, Ezequiel Arias, Durante, Boxer, Fordal amongst others, I am really happy with how both of these turned out. This set is more Progressive but retains some of the deeper, tribal flavour of the Global Underground set. This starts slower but then moves into more of an uplifting house music for a club. My average mix reduced to 1m30 from 2m as these progressive tunes don't allow longer mixes. Get this one on and turned up.Tracklist1 Stories In Light (Extended Sunset Mix) Trilucid 2 Hemels (Original Mix) Gai Barone 3 For Another Life (Extended Mix) Trilucid 4 The Space In Between (Ben Böhmer Extended Remix)  5 One Day At A Time (Extended Mix) Trilucid 6 Under The Sun (Extended Mix) Franky Wah, Terracotta Records  7 Take Me Higher (Extended Mix) Trilucid 8 Nightfalls (ELIF Remix) Dave Seaman 9 Never B Alone (Extended Mix) Durante 10 Your Hand In Mine (Extended Mix) Boxer, Solar Sentience 11 All or Nothing (Lexicon Avenue Remix) Fordal 12 In My Head (Extended Mix) Trilucid 13 Orbitation (Extended Mix) Cendryma 14 I Want to Believe (Maxxim Extended Remix) 15 Cold (D-Nox, Kamilo Sanclemente Remix) Rikfell 16 Voice Recognition feat. Leo Wood (Trilucid Club Remix) Quivver, Dave Seaman, Leo Wood, Ewan Hoo's Army 17 Heartbeat (Original Mix) D-Nox 18 Delirio (Extended Mix) Ezequiel Arias 19 Lately (Enamour Remix) RÜFÜS DU SOL
