The beautiful hummingbird this morning: Do you or a loved one need a miracle?

This morning as I drank coffee with our cat Nichodemus in our sunroom, I saw a beautiful little hummingbird flying around our full Rose of Sharon flower bush. Nichodemus and I watched it with interest. Hummingbirds, as well as bees, butterflies, birds, cats, and other creations, are miraculous. This morning as I asked God about a podcast topic, I sensed that He said to me, 'Pay attention!" I asked, "Pay attention to what?" How to have overflowing joy in every season, even hard times

Do you need more joy in your life? How can you and I have joy in every season of life, even during hard times? I've been walking through a dark, scary valley for the last year and a half. I believe with all my heart that God is going to bring me out of it. He can and will do this for you, too, as you follow and obey Jesus and trust in Him.. Listen as I share how the apostle Paul encouraged us to have joy, no matter what hardships we are facing. He was arrested and imprisoned multiple times, beaten, stoned, lashed, shipwrecked 3 times, hungry, thirsty, and persecuted for his faith in Jesus Christ - yet he is the one who encouraged us to always rejoice and wrote, "Celebrate God all day, every day . I mean, revel in Him!" (Philippians 4:4, MSG) Today let God fill you with His joy to strengthen you. Hard places: Immanuel

The acorn and the oak tree: The treasure in you

Leading a small group in your home with Rick & Doreen Penner

Rick and Doreen speak about how they got started doing small groups and why they began; what they do during the weekly meetings; what not to do when leading one; and testify about the great impact this has had on them as leaders and on the attendees, such as one woman who went on a mission trip. Hear how the first step to inviting people to your small group may be simply having coffee with a new friend and how even Rick's and Doreen's little dog Jake joins in to worship Jesus with them! Rick currently works with the Department of Education, where he provides steady leadership, mentorship, and guidance to his colleagues and to school division personnel in the school bus transportation field. When he’s not working or serving, you’ll likely find him outdoors — tending to his yard and keeping it in immaculate condition, a hobby he truly enjoys. Doreen Penner is a speaker, writer, and heart freedom coach. She helps women do the heart work that sets them free so they can step boldly into what God has called them to do. Interview with Craig Alsup of Manna Worldwide: Say yes to God

When you say "Yes" to God, miraculous things happen. When they were younger, Craig and his wife Jennifer worked two and three jobs to save money, then sold everything they had to have exciting adventures, traveling the world in 76 countries. As they traveled, they saw many hungry children with no or little education having to work to help support their families (such as one child selling chickens on the side of the road), the atrocity of trafficked children, and other heart breaking things. Fast forward many years, and now they travel the world again as missionaries for Jesus, but with the help of the amazing Manna Worldwide organization, which has been rescuing children from the grip of poverty for 25 years and does so much more.
