United Horror Show | Seagulls Surge | De Zerbi’s Vision Taking Shape

Hannah Wilkes is joined by Jonathan Northcroft, Jack Pitt-Brooke and Charlie Wyett to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We kick things off with Michael Carrick’s struggles continuing, as Manchester United capitulate once again at Stamford Bridge. A 2-0 defeat, compounded by a red card, leaves United with just two wins from their opening 13 matches this season. Next up, Brighton secure a 1-0 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad, following on from their impressive 3-0 win over Arsenal. After beating two of the league’s biggest sides, Brighton sit just two points behind them in the table; we ask the question - could Brighton be genuine title contenders? And lastly, to Spurs, who make it three Premier League wins in a row. They took advantage of an early red card for Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Jack sees signs of De Zerbi’s intentions, with intensity and directness coming through the middle from Fernandes and Tonali. So, are Spurs starting to look like a good team again? - •You can watch the sporting action live on Sky Sports. United's Struggles | Spurs Turning a Corner? | Arsenal’s Set-Piece Return

Hannah Wilkes is joined by Mark Ogden, Charlotte Duncker and Daniel Storey to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We kick things off with Manchester United, as Michael Carrick comes under pressure following a heavy midweek defeat to Como. But how much of the blame should fall on the players? Next up, Spurs, who secured a rare 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge — their first victory there in eight years. Chelsea unravelled late on, but have Spurs finally turned a corner under De Zerbi? And lastly to Arsenal, who beat Everton 2-0, finally getting off the mark from a set piece after failing to score from one so far this season. Despite being criticised last year for their time-wasting and reliance on set pieces, Mark argues that this season, they’ve become the ‘people’s champions’. - •You can watch the sporting action live on Sky Sports. Seven Straight Wins For City | Turning Point For Chelsea? | Liverpool Rescue Result

Hannah Wilkes is joined by Martin Samuel, Jacqui Oatley and John Cross to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We start with Manchester City’s 3–2 victory over Ipswich. With seven consecutive Premier League wins to kick off the season — just how impressive has this start been, and how dominant have City looked so far? Next to Chelsea, who secured a 2–0 win over Everton and kept their first clean sheet in nine months. Is this a turning point for Xabi Alonso’s side? We also look at Liverpool’s 2–1 win over Brentford, as goals from Muñoz and Isak overturned a half-time deficit to secure victory against Keith Andrews’ nine-men. And finally, another home defeat for Newcastle, who were booed off at both half-time and full-time. Matthias Jaissle described it as a much-needed reality check. We’re joined by Craig Hope, who saw this coming, but questions why Dan Burn was Newcastle’s best option up front in the closing stages. - •You can watch the sporting action live on Sky Sports. City Return to Anfield | Spurs Snatch a Point | Henderson’s Brace at the Bridge

Hannah Wilkes is joined by James Olley, Jack Pitt-Brooke and Riath Al-Samarrai to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We look ahead to Liverpool’s clash with Manchester City, as City prepare for their first match since being found responsible for breaches of Premier League financial rules between 2009–10 and 2017–18. The club has lodged an appeal against the findings. We then turn to Manchester United and Tottenham, assessing the current situation at both clubs after Solanke struck a stoppage-time equaliser to earn ten-man Spurs a point at Old Trafford. Our attention then turns to Chelsea, following their emphatic 5-1 win over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. Did Henderson’s brace prove he offers more than just experience to the side? - •You can watch the sporting action live on Sky Sports. Gunners Stunned | De Zerbi’s Fury | Toffees’ VAR Debate

Hannah Wilkes is joined by Dominic King, Martin Samuel and John Cross to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We kick off with Arsenal’s defeat at Brighton, breaking down how Fabian Hürzeler’s side dominated the game through an impressive out-of-possession structure and aggressive man-to-man press, culminating in a 3-0 victory with 40% possession. We then turn to Tottenham, who scored their first two Premier League goals but lost 3-2 to Aston Villa, leaving them in the bottom three. Despite some encouraging football, Roberto De Zerbi admitted he was “disappointed, sad and frustrated” and revealed he didn’t speak to his players after the game. But is De Zerbi’s reputation beginning to come under scrutiny? Finally, we turn to another divisive VAR decision as Everton’s Barry saw a header ruled out while leading Ipswich 1-0. Despite no complaints from the Ipswich players, VAR judged Brennan Johnson to have been interfering with play. Dominic King and John Cross disagree over whether the goal should have stood — but was VAR right to intervene? - •You can watch the sporting action live on Sky Sports. Another goalless display by Spurs | Are Chelsea too soft? | What does the Ballon d'Or say about the EPL?

Charlotte Duncker of The Times, The Telegraph's Sam Dean and broadcaster Jacqui Oatley join Hannah Wilkes to go beyond the headlines in today's Sunday Supplement. It's now four games without a win for Tottenham and so we start, again, with Spurs on Sunday Supplement! After their 0-0 draw with Everton, we dissect another disappointing evening in North London. Meanwhile, Arsenal recorded another win, this time at Sunderland, with former Newcastle captain Bruno Guimarães amongst the goals. Can anyone stop the Gunners this season? Are Chelsea too soft? A 2-2 draw against Hull prompted some interesting quotes from manager, Xabi Alonso, who thinks his side need to be 'competing better'. Is he right? What does the men's Ballon d'Or say about the current state of the Premier League? We discuss an interesting piece from journalist Martin Samuel, who asks if the lack of Premier League stars amongst the nominees highlights a talent drain in the English top flight. Plus, how are the papers looking ahead to Sunday's Manchester derby? •You can watch the sporting action live on Sky Sports.
