    Yup, that's right! Over Christmas, Jo and I managed to record a new episode of The Simon and Jo Film Show to review 2011, revealing our Top 10, and watching all four Mission Impossible films to boot!All the backing music is from the film we discuss and the same goes for each Mission Impossible film.I know, I know, I released my Top 5 films already on Ryan's Matineecast, but hey - you haven't heard my Top 6 through 10 and, no one has heard Jo's Top 10 at all!     TSAJFS: 27/02/2011 Frankenstein/Drive Angry 3D/Oscars 2011

    Unfortunately, The Simon and Jo Film Show has now transmitted it's last podcast. Over 70 episodes, 5 Bourne Brain Baffler's, 5 London Film Festival podcasts, 2 special editions (to see the episode-list click here) and here we are with a final episode.We record live from outside the National Theatre and, indeed, it does get windy - so apologies for that. But, no film news or box-office this week simply discussion on the National Theatre's production of 'Frankenstein' directed by Danny Boyle and starring Johnny Lee Miller (Trainspotting) and Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC's Sherlock Holmes TV series).     TSAJFS: 13/02/2011 True Grit/Inside Job/Animal Kingdom

    So, first off, we shall now attempt to - every week - take a picture from the location we record from. This week, we watched our films from Clapham Picturehouse and so, a picture of Jo and I pre-viewing is attached.This week, our main review is True Grit - the Coen's taking on a true Western in all its 1800's glory. Then we have the usual news and meeting-of-people in 'the club' before we run through the London box-office and new releases.We finish with some incrdible coverage of Oscar nominated documnetary Inside Job - a favourite to win - and the Australian gangster movie: Animal Kingdom.LinksFacebook-er of the week is my sis' Pauline for being the only person to comment on my 'whats-the-best-007-film' question.     Starting from the Clapham Picturehouse - with a noisy truck - this week, Jo and Simon have both watched David O. Russells Oscar-Nominated The Fighter starring Christian Bale, Mark Wahlberg, Amy Adams and Melissa Leo. this is followed by the usual news and film discussion.The final two films discussed are the Oscar-Nominated documentary Exit Through The Giftshop and the critically-successful I Am Love starring Tilda Swinton.LinksFacebook-er of the week is Dan Gudgeon, Jo's Bruv, who is currently fighting the wars in Korea.     TSAJFS: 30/01/2011 Black Swan/Barney's Version/NEDS

    Blimey Charlie! This week sees the release of Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan and both Simon & Jo get stuck right into the film with a discussion of its story, style and themes. They've also managed to check out a couple more new releases this week, Simon gives his frank views on Barney's Version while Jo holds court on NEDS, directed by Peter Mullan. Some exciting films to consider, plus the usual assortment of movie news stories,  featuring an initial reaction to the Oscar Nominations and rumours about Annie, the Matrix saga and Tron: The Next One. There's plenty of lively debate and some interesting insights, tune in for a week of angry ballet, grumpy men growing old and violent Scottish teenagers.     From the balcony of the New Years Party, Simon and Jo are now able to watch the films released in the US in 2010 - namely Tom Hoopers The King's Speech and Robert Rodriguezs' Machete. Simon additionally watched John Boormans Deliverance as one of 1001 Movies he must see before he dies.     TSAJFS: 01/01/2011 Tron/Tron:Legacy/Top 10 Films of 2010

    Back into the 'dream location' that is the Ritzy in Brixton, the main review is Tron and Jo and I have managed to watch Tron prior to watching Tron: Legacy. This gives us ample opportunity to discuss both films in relation to each other ...We also manage to cover a bunch of news articles from the last two weeks whilst changing our Top London Box-Office to the Worldwide Box-Office of 2010.Then, to finish, we reveal our favourite films of 2010.
