Yoga Nidra - Returning To The Earth

A guided relaxation for grounding, restoration and deep rest As the seasons turn and autumn invites us to slow down, this Yoga Nidra practice is an opportunity to pause, soften and reconnect with yourself. Recorded during my Nourish day retreat — Feed What Sustains You — this guided relaxation is my gift to you. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, a little depleted, restless or simply in need of some time to yourself, I invite you to find somewhere warm and comfortable, settle in and allow yourself to be guided. In this practice, we'll gently turn our attention inwards, move through a soothing body awareness practice and connect with the grounding qualities of the earth. Through visualisation, breath awareness and stillness, we'll explore the feeling of being held, supported and replenished. There is nothing to achieve, nowhere to be and nothing you need to get right. Simply give yourself permission to rest. A little invitation before you begin: Find somewhere quiet and warm where you won't be disturbed. Lie down comfortably, with cushions or blankets to support you. Make sure you're warm enough — cosy socks are always welcome! Allow yourself around 30 minutes without interruption. Listen somewhere safe where you can fully relax, not while driving or doing anything that requires your attention. You don't need to be experienced in yoga or meditation to enjoy this practice. Just bring yourself, exactly as you are. A little reminder to take with you: You cannot pour from an empty cup. Rest is not something you have to earn; it is part of how you sustain yourself. I hope this practice offers you a little space to breathe, reconnect and return to what matters.
