    This week on Obscure Sessions we welcome 'Mark D-Funktion' for an exclusive interview and 2 hour guest mix on Hoxton fm streamed live from Trafik Bar in Hoxton. Mark Ramsey aka Mark D FunKtion was born in South East London, from an early age he absorbed a multiple diet of music such as Ska and Soca from his mother and his brothers extensive collection of rear groove, hip hop, Chicago, Acid and Detroit house. At the early age of 14 he would play a mixture of soul, hip hop and Jungle at house and college parties, Mark was driven more towards the underground sound and would find himself every weekend hanging out at his local record shops in London.  In the late 90's Mark landed slots on multiple radio stations across London and gained a following playing UK Garage each week to a mass audience across the UK. In 2000 Mark decided to learn music production at the British Academy of New Music (East London) and over the comming years took it seriously and naturally found himself draw to Minimal and Techno which he was more in tune to because of the percussive and raw bass driven elements.  Mark's first success came in 2008 with the release of U - TURN that was a massive success in the Beatport minimal chart reaching number 2 for one month. His next release was on Autist Recordings Germany with a track entitled Banana man which hit number 10 in the beatport Minimal Chart also.  Mark has since played all over europe and now has recently moved to ibiza were is music has taken the next step, with his new Alias Mark D FunKtion where he has already released on Area Remote and Stranjjur Recordings NYC. Mark's tracks have already been supported by the likes of Richie Hawtins, Joris Voorn, 2000 and One, Whebba, Kev Obrien, André Galluzzi, Mendo to name a few 2013 is the start of something special for Mark D FunKtion. Mark Ramsey’s mission for music is clear: to bring charisma, passion, flavor and flow to the dance floor, an ever-expanding, pulsing wonderland full of mashed-up beats, sun-drenched soul-vibes and powerful percussion that people can dance, dip and move through.     This week on Obscure Sessions we welcome 'The Willers Brothers' for an exclusive interview and 1 hour guest mix bringing you the very best in Techno, Minimal & Tech-House on Hoxton fm streamed live from Trafik Bar in Hoxton About... With 2012 came The Willers Brothers, Liam and Sean Willers. Originally from the northern city of Manchester, these two have journeyed right down the country and ended up in London. Being siblings and living together, naturally their first venue was their lounge, starting on a small mp3 mixer to now mixing on Cdj's in some of the biggest clubs in London. Being devotees to Tech House, Techno and Minimal, The Willers Brothers have strong influences; Marco Carola, Richie Hartin, Luciano and Carlo Lio. Following a summer in Ibiza the pair of techno loving DJs have been playing all over Essex and London. The diary has been full of sets at well known venues like EGG, Pacha, Ministry of Sound,The Warehouse and Covert as well as playing on nights such as What Matters, Bodymove, PPFM, X and Santo Vida. With more sets on the horizon in the Uk and Europe and have already supported the likes of Ramon Tapia, Jay Lumen, Sebatein Leger and Derrick Carter to name a few things are looking good for the audacious duo.
