The "Swish Edition" is hosted by Scott Wallis from his 'secret underground studio' in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Robbie Barnett, coming to you from just outside Walla Walla, Washington. The weekly show features news and snarky commentary on the entertainment industry, travel, marketing trends, crazy celebrities, crazier criminals, people behaving badly, and much more. Scott, along with the now-retired Dale Blades, originated the show in Washington, D.C., before moving to Las Vegas in 2018. Episodes have been heard in over 144 countries, have featured hundreds of guests from all walks of life, and, once upon a time, the show reached the top 2% of Apple Podcasts' comedy list. New episodes drop every Wednesday.

    A Swish Movie Deep Dive: "Scream" (1996)

    Scott and Robbie disagree about many things, but not about the original, and most enjoyable, "Scream" movie from 1996—they both dig it and they've each watched it many times. If you love it, too, then you know this year is the slasher film's 30th anniversary, and we are eagerly awaiting the SEVENTH sequel in the next year or so. In this special BONUS episode this week, the guys do an extensive deep dive about the Kevin Williamson penned, Wes Craven directed movie, from its inventive plot, slasher movie self-awareness, the smart mix of horror and comedy, and the spot-on casting. They go behind-the-scenes, too, with executive interference, creative choices, changes and additions made along the way, stories about other actors who were considered for the main roles, and so much more. They talked so long, they soon realized their deep dive is almost as long as the feature film itself. Yikes!     What has the Nickelodeon slime recipe, a Cher Christmas album, celebrities behaving badly in public (we're looking at you, Selma Blair and Kelly Clarkson), Roseanne Barr's questionable return, and scaredy-cat tourists jumping off Disney water rides? The October 14th episode of the Swish Edition, of course. It's all that, and a whole lot more pop culture craziness of the week. Your hosts Scott and Robbie are also talking about Dolly's CMA tribute concert telecast, the origins of Michael Myer's "Halloween" mask, Taylor Swift kicking Ella Langley off Billboard's #1 spot, why META glasses shouldn't be allowed anywhere, the "Crystal Lake" and "Newlyweds" television premieres, "I Love Lucy" 75th anniversary, and the Bea Arthur documentary we can't wait to watch. It's a pop culture and Halloween overload, y'all!  CORRECTION: When Scott talks about John Mayer and his history at the Las Vegas Sphere in Episode 532, he said Mayer "sometimes jumped on the stage and played with Dead & Company." Well, Mayer is a member of Dead & Company—playing guitar and singing. Scott didn't know that, and he should have done more research before saying wrong things. That said, he's not a Deadhead. Just dead in the head sometimes. He promises to do better.     We Will Always Love You - A Tribute to Dolly Parton

    This is a very special SWISH EXTRA --  As everyone on the planet knows by now, Dolly Parton passed away at the age of 80-years-old this past Tuesday, August 25, in Nashville. And we just had to fire up our cameras and mics and record a loving tribute.  She was universally loved by literally everyone. She was more than just a singer. She was also an actress, a businesswoman, and a humanitarian who loved everyone for who they were. She was self-deprecating and wickedly funny. She purposely steered clear of discussing politics so as not to offend any of her millions and millions of fans.
