Desolation Angel Radio Sept. 21st 2026

This episode kicks off a couple of things that will interest you. We're heading in to Fall and Winter, so the arc always comes back to personal, me talking to you and playing music for you. This time, it's a journey, my journey. . and I don't think it's just personal, that my story, my journey is your story too, is our story. This kicks off an exploration of the last 6 decades, both with words and music, and how that music, the music, I love reflects not just my story, but yours as well. It's personal and it's for you. No matter who you are, if you've known me 50 years, or 10 years, or 2 years, this involves you, and talks about things you know, and more importantly, things you don't know. Settle in, turn it on, and let's tell that story and take that journey together.

This episode of Desolation Angel Radio continues the set of interviews with bands playing at the Great Blue Heron Music Festival 2026 July 2nd to July 5th, with interviews with Danny Bauer of Sneezy and Pat Walsh of Hot Like Mars. Both talk about their music, where it comes from, and their joy of playing live. Danny talks about how much Sneezy loves the Heron; the festival, the grounds, the people and spending the entire weekend there. Pat talks about how excited they are to be coming to and playing at the Heron. It's an enjoyable episode. Take some time to listen. Kip

DA Radio GBH 2026 Conversation with Ripe and Jim Donovan

This episode is continuing the series of conversations with artists who are playing the 2026 Great Blue Heron Music Festival. This one finds me having a great conversation with Sampson Hellerman and Robbie Wulfsohn of Ripe in a delightful, fun conversation. They've never been to the Heron before this are one of the main acts hitting the stage, and a conversation with Jim Donovan of Jim Donovan & The Sun King Warriors, who's a long time staple on the bill, and even before that, on the Heron stage with other bands. He, and the festival, and he and I have some history and it shows. There's also cuts from each band, and all in all, a really fun episode Kip

DA Radio GBH 2026 Pixie & The Partygrass Boys and Moontricks Interview

This episode of the podcast finds me talking to and having some pretty good conversations with Katia, who is Pixie, of Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, and Nate from Moontricks. It's engaging, warm, and a lot of fun, both sets of conversations, and some music from both, with a new track being debuted by Pixie right here on the podcast to take her segment out. And of course, information about The Great Blue Heron Music Festival, July 2nd to 5th this year, and where and how to buy tickets.

DA Radio Great Blue Heron 2026 Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad & Bombargo Interview

This episode of the podcast has me turning my eyes (and ears) as I do yearly to this year's 2026 Great Blue Heron Music Festival with interviews with James Searl of Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, and Bombargo with Anthony Thoen and Spencer Chilliak talking about them. We talk about the festival, especially James, who's a veteran of it and what it means to him; the atmosphere, the community and the feel and why he loves it, and about their music. Anthony and Spencer talk about their music, the excitement of coming to the festival and playing for it for the first time and how they're looking forward to it. (and premier a brand new cut from them right after the interview).  There's music from both bands to bookend the interviews, and it's all enjoyable and fun.  Enjoy Kip

It's the 2026 Heron kick-off episode of Desolation Angel Radio. This ep of the podcast has a conversation with Julie about this year's Great Blue Heron Music Festival and Blind Faith ticket sales. Conversations with Payge and Jen about volunteering straight from the volunteer coordinators. Even if you've volunteered before, listen closely to it. They lay out the crews, process, exactly how everything works. They're the source. A conversation with Isa about Nature & Wellness weekends, and a shout out from the group. An hour of your time well worth investing in

Desolation Angel Radio - The Sober Episode

This episode, published the week I observe and mark 45 years sober, serves as a marker. The episodes in October, November, early December all were leading up to this one. It's free, just click the link. This episode, I'm going to ask you to listen, and to share, there's lots of ways to do that, and share buttons, with others. If someone you know, or even someone you don't know, is struggling, is questioning, about their own or someone else's addictions, about recovery and about being sober and clean, this is the episode to listen to, and if it guides even one person to recovery, if it helps only one person, it's worth it Kip

Desolation Angel Radio - 2025 Year end episode

Sticking with a theme, this episode/chapter of the podcast looks back, briefly, momentarily, at the year, looks ahead to next year and picks back up on October and November's theme of taking a personal look back at the people, events and things that shaped me, and laid the foundation for the life stretching ahead of me then, that I've lived now. Enjoy Kip
