Host Michael Bradley is a podcasting luminary whose passion and enthusiasm for Superman comes through in each and every episode of this fantastic and entertaining podcast! Starting with the debut in 1938, he does a great job of keeping within the context of the era as he moves forward and explores the growing popularity of Superman and introductions to new parts of his mythology. I love his dry wit, spectacular sense of humor, and he is a fountain of information that makes you feel more knowledgeable about golden age Superman after listening. He has a rapport with his listeners as he reads their email on the show, as well as his reviews. Indeed, that is a big reason why I wrote this review, hoping he will produce another episode to read it since it has been years since the last episode. It is time for the return of the Thrilling Adventures of Superman! Even if it doesn’t return, I appreciate that I was able to listen to it, and you should too!

Michael does an absolutely wonderful job telling everything about Superman's history. Even when an episode is covering a pretty boring story Michael finds a way to keep you interested be it an interesting tid bit of history or some comical sound bites. Michael is very knowledgeable in his podcasts and is far too modest about it. Not a quality a lot of podcasters have. Job well done sir! This is based on only listening to the MOS review, so for all I know the other podcasts are better, but after listening to about an hour of this show I just couldn't take it anymore and stopped. Too much of the conversation was the nerds talking about themselves and having a dick measuring contest over who knows more about Superman and who has the better industry contacts to brag over. Whomever the guy is who writes for the Superman home page really needs to turn it down a few notches - you talked more about yourself and your "insider" status than anything else. Gee, the publicity department schmoozed you and you just happened to rate the movie 10 out of 10? But of course, as you say, there is no connection there. Right. Anyway, maybe with some dense editing this 3 hour review could be boiled down to 30 mins worth listening to, but honestly in the first hour the depth of conversation barely went beyond "I really liked this part of the movie." "Oh me too." Wow. Real insight there. If you're a listener looking for a good round table review show starring a bunch of nerds (of which there are way too many) check out the material from the Now Playing podcast. After listening to dozens of such Superman reviews those guys are, by far, the best I've heard!
