Best Kept Secret Podcast Show #91

Happy New Year, and welcome back to another episode of the Best Kept Secret podcast show featuring the best tracks in electronic music mixed by the one and only, DJ Jon Lockley. As AI is starting to gain more and more power, the Lockstar thought it would be cool to see how well AI knows the style of DJ Jon Lockley. Jon went to ChatGPT and put in the prompt, "Give me a list of 16 Progressive House tracks DJ Jon Lockley would play in a one hour set. Make sure the next song in the set matches with the track before it on the harmonic scale." Surprisingly, ChatGPT provided songs that pretty much match the style of Progressive House Jon plays. However, ChatGPT did not do so well on the keys of the songs, so Jon had to get those dialed in. I have to say, the mix is good and it sounds very much like a set Jon would play. Ultimately, you can judge for yourself. Let us know in the comments of how well you think AI did in picking the songs for Jon. As always, enjoy the journey and if you like what you're hearing, like, comment, and share! Oh, there's new artwork for the podcast, as well!Tracklist:1.       Lane 8-Atlas 2.       Tinlicker-Just To Hear You Say(Extended Mix) 3.       EDX-Moyo(Extended Mix) 4.       Fab Massimo-Diamond Rings(Vakabular Extended Mix) 5.       Yotto-Another Riff For The Good Times 6.       Steve Parry-What You Make It(Renato Cohen Mix) 7.       Spencer Brown, Qrion-20ms(Cristoph Extended Mix) 8.       Double Touch-Pomelo 9.       ARTBAT-Upperground 10.   Kamilo Sanclemente-Transit Saturn 11.   Nils Hoffman-Let Me Go(Extended Mix) 12.   Yotto-Fire Walk 13.   Luttrell-What Do You Feel(Extended Mix)

Best Kept Secret Podcast Show #87-Jon Lockley(DnB)

Welcome back to another episode of the Best Kept Secret podcast show with your host with the most-DJ Jon Lockley. The ole randomizer wheel did so well choosing last month's genre, that the Lockstar decided to give it another spin. This time around, she stopped on Drum and Bass. Now this is a first for Jon as he has never made a Drum and Bass mix before. Oh yes, back in the day he dabbled around with the Drum and Bass on vinyl, but he never even attempted to make a full on mix of it. So, here we go folks. It's the Lockstar's debut mix of some jump up, filthy, nasty beats and bass that will have you needing to take a seat when it's done.. The whole mix is mint, but the first 30 minutes is on another level. As always, if you dig what you're hearing, like, comment, and share with your friends. Best Kept Secret Podcast Show #86-Florida Breaks

Welcome back to another episode of the Best Kept Secret podcast show with your favorite DJ, Jon Lockley. Jon put a post up on his Facebook page recently asking what the people wanted to hear, got their suggestions, and spun the randomizer wheel. It must be fate, considering Jon resides in the "O-Town," as it landed on Florida Breaks. If you don't know what Florida Breaks are, then you might be too young or hate history. Either way, let's break it down for you.  Florida Breaks is funky but futuristic, and dirty but danceable. It was a staple in Florida club scenes, warehouse parties, and raves, especially from the late ‘90s to mid-2000s. Picture neon lights, palm trees, and sweaty dancefloors filled with breakdancing and bass-hungry ravers. The Lockstar has rummaged through his old vinyl, searched the internet far and wide, and found some of the absolute staple tracks from back in the day. Some of these tracks are 25-30 years old, but could still rock a dancefloor today. It includes tracks from some of the pioneers like Tony Faline, DJ Icey, Infiniti, Rick West, DJ Sharaz and more. Get ready for some Miami bass, some funky drummin', some scratchin', and melodic hooks that bring back that nostalgic feel. As always, if you like what you're hearing, like, comment and share. Enjoy the journey! Oh, there's one special bonus track at the end.Tracklist:1.       Jackal & Hyde-Freaks Come Out at Night(Night of the Living Bassheads Mix) 2.       Infiniti-Running Away 3.       Sugarwood-Break @ Dawn 4.       DJ Volume & DJ Sharaz-Get Loose(DJ Sharaz Mix) 5.       Tony Faline-Break Down 6.       DJ Fixx-Don’t Stop 7.       DJ Fixx-Rock That Beat 8.       The All Star Breakers-Break to the Bass 9.       DJ Icey-Talk To ‘Em 10.   Brad Smith-Let The Beat Hit “Em 11.   Mike & Charlie-I Get Live(Dave London Mix) 12.   Kosheen-Catch(Brad Smith Mix) 13.   Paul Van Dyk-We Are Alive(DJ Icey’s Arctic Bass Mix) 14.   Electronic Love(Freestyle Project Mix) 15.   West Coast Prost!-Beer Barrel Polka(Roll Out the Barrel)
