    Dr. JB Hixson Mary welcomes back JB Hixson as we tackle the biblical topic of wisdom, something the world could certainly use a lot more of. Isaiah 33:6 tells us, "Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, and the strength of salvation. The fear of the Lord is His treasure." Instability and chaos are not the product of wisdom, something that resides with God and is given to His people who desire it. Wisdom was present in creation, before anything was made. Solomon asked for wisdom and it was said that he was the wisest man who ever lived, and yet there was a huge disconnect and he did not finish well. When God gives us wisdom, what do we do with it? We are free moral agents and can accept or reject any of it. But when we desire to be wise and act wisely, we are a blessing, preserved and stable for those around us. The Bible has much to say on this topic in both testaments.     Headlines: Speaking Up – Pogroms, Prophecy and Pulpits

    On today's headline day we look at the trajectory of antisemitism around the world. It seemed to have taken a bit of a break during the election cycle but nothing has, or will change, the current direction of antisemitism and it will get worse and worse, a tragedy and a pox upon humanity. From Amsterdam to Belgium, from sea to shining sea in the US, here we go again. And we will speak up about it and we will defend Israel with all we have because it represents the heart of God. And yet "evangelical" churches choose the wrong side in so many churches. Then we look at speaking up about bible prophecy, a great evangelical tool that again, many churches refuse to teach or speak up about. Afraid to mention the rapture? You are not alone because more than ever, you will get an eye-roll followed by a denunciation of some historical sort. And the pulpits are silent on yet again another thing. We take on as much as we can in an hour, from the culture of Big Pot which is bigger than ever - and creeping into the church at large. What is THC, CBD and what alarm bells should be going off? An endless source of "boomer humor", pot today bears little resemblance to the '50s-'70s version. We understand from Acts 20:28,"Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." In other words, give attention to and devote thought to, leading like a shepherd - those God has put in your charge, because this flock of yours was purchased with the blood of Jesus.
