    Welcome To The New Era! Anthony Joshua barely wins; Tim Tszyu beats Errol Spence.

    Where did our heroes go? This week we saw Anthony Joshua survive two knockdowns to beat Kristian Prenga, and Tim Tszyu defeat Errol Spence Jr in a sad summer pay-per-view. Spence retired after the main event, and Joshua will move into a fight with Tyson Fury, who also fought this weekend (and also looked awful). We talk about Stephen Fulton, the "Cool Boy," missing weight and getting his fight canceled against Liam Wilson, as cool people do. Hamzah Sheeraz looked mid against Simon Zachenhuber. Sheeraz won a vacant title, but are we starting to wonder about his potential and clear favoritism toward his career?  Also, Josh Kelly got his nose busted up, winning a 12-round decision over Caoimhin Agyarko. This week, we have one major card. DAZN in partnership with TNT Sports will return with a lightweight bout between Lamont Roach Jr and William Zepeda. In the co-feature,  Raymond Muratalla will make the first defense of his IBF lightweight title against Robson Conceicao. Other notable bouts include welterweight Raul Curiel versus Quinton Randall, junior middleweight Charles Conwell versus Paul Kroll, and middleweight Fabian Guzman versus Aaron Coley.     Pay-Per-View Industrial Complex: Anthony Joshua returns, Errol Spence Jr vs Tim Tszyu Preview

    In this episode, Lukie and (Jason) Lagendorf talk about the return of Errol Spence Jr., who faces Tim Tszyu in Australia on pay-per-view. Three years ago, this would have been massive; now it just is what it is. A solid fight, but a lot of lingering “What ifs?”  Does Spence still have it? (He hasn’t fought since the Terence Crawford fight) Can Tszyu absorb punishment from a high-level fighter?  The answers we don’t know. An undercard bout with Jermall Charlo is now off, as he couldn’t obtain a visa. Stephen Fulton’s official lightweight debut against Liam Wilson will serve as the co-feature, with Australian talent rounding out the rest of the card.  Then, we have two high-profile names back in action. Tyson Fury will fight Mariusz Wach in Thailand. As of now, I don’t think they have announced how to watch it. Also, on pay-per-view, Anthony Joshua is facing Kristian Prenga. Is it safe to say Joshua is in the unserious part of his career? The pay-per-view card is shockingly thin. WBO super middleweight champ Hamzah Sheeraz will face Simon Zachenhuber. Zachenhuber lost to Pawel August on the previous Fury fight card, but August is buried on the undercard facing Jacob Bank, the man who stopped William Scull. Make it make sense. IBF welterweight champ Josh Kelly returns against Caoimhin Agyarko, which is a good fight, and Ukrainian Olympic gold medalist Oleksandr Khyzhniak will fight. He is more Serhii Bohachuk than he is Lomachenko. Nishant Dev is always a nice treat to see on a card as well.  Also, on Sunday at Zuffa Boxing, Edgar Berlanga will make his promotional debut against Steven Butler. Richardson Hitchins will face Ricardo Salas, not an easy debut, and middleweight Sergiy Derevyanchenko will open the main telecast against Jalil Hackett. The undercard is solid with Otto Wallin facing Vladyslav Sirenko, and the promotional debut of Dominique Francis. A good 50-50 fight between Arnold Gonzalez and Emiliano Moreno, and as always, featherweight Troy Nash Jr is must-see TV as he faces unbeaten Ethan Perez. This week, we saw Diego Pacheco stop Immanuwel Aleem. Now, we ask more questions… For my mailbag, I was asked if Pacheco looked different than when he fought Trevor McCumby. Lazily, I will ask Dakota. Buddy McGirt now trains Pacheco; did we see a difference? People seem divided on Pacheco – can we make sense of it all? Also on the undercard, Andy Cruz stopped Abraham Montoya in three rounds and appears headed to the junior lightweight division. Featherweight Albert Gonzalez stopped Aaron Alameda in two rounds. WOW!     Shakur Stevenson To Zuffa, PBC to DAZN, Rolly Romero vs. Teofimo Lopez and Diego Pacheco returns

    In this episode, Lukie and Dakota start with the news. Four-division titleholder Shakur Stevenson signed with Zuffa Boxing. With rumors that Oleksandr Usyk and Devin Haney may sign with Zuffa, is the takeover imminent? What are the guys' thoughts on this? Then, we shift to PBC announcing a deal with DAZN, which would have seemed unheard of before this year. Is this a direct response to Zuffa Boxing? They announced a few fights (without official fight dates), but in August WBA welterweight champ Rolando Romero will face Teofimo Lopez. The guys give early thoughts on this fight.The guys recap a very light week of boxing. Murat Gassiev stopped late-sub Peter Kadiru in six rounds. Kadiru filled in for Gassiev's original opponent, 2016 French Olympic gold medalist Tony Yoka, but was outgunned. Also, Artem Suslenkov stopped former contender Joe Joyce in what should be Joyce's last pro fight. The ending was very sad. Then, we look ahead. Another light week of boxing.Super middleweight Diego Pacheco faces Immanuwel Aleem. It is a DAZN main event bout, and the return of boxing to the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Lightweight Andy Cruz will face Abraham Montoya, after his original opponent, Albert Bell, fought Abdullah Mason on short notice earlier this month. Middleweight Frank Espinoza and lightweight Sammy Contreras Jr are notable prospects to watch, but a good 50-50 fight to watch for is Saul Sanchez vs. unbeaten Bruno Rios.     Abdullah Mason's legend continues to grow, and 2026 Mid-Year Awards

    In this episode, Lukie and Dakota talk about the return of boxing to network television. WBO lightweight Abdullah Mason made his first defense of his WBO title against Albert Bell. The fight was a classic to Lukie; what did Dakota think?  Also, the guys reflect on Bruce Carrington's win over Rene Palacios and Tiger Johnson defeating Christopher Guerrero. Deric "Scooter" Davis won a controversial fight over Carlos Ramos. What did this performance say about Davis? Then, we go to the awards. With only one major fight this week, a WBA heavyweight bout between Murat Gassiev and a yet-to-be-named challenger, the guys focus on handing out some awards.     Lukie Interviews Austin Trout and Adrian Clark

Oh, and I am involved.(2:00) We begin with Austin Trout, the former junior middleweight titleholder, who defeated Miguel Cotto and fought Canelo Alvarez. We reflect on his boxing career while talking about his fight on BKFC Friday against Benjamin Bonner for the vacant lightweight title. Trout has strong opinions about boxing; let them be known.  (19:50) In the second half of the show, we are joined by Adrian Clark, the manager of many top boxers. We touch on the Edwin De Los Santos stoppage loss to Jose Valenzuela. The issues that arise from it. Then, we talk about what is next for Brian Norman Jr., Frank Martin, Justin Pauldo, as well as other fighters he works with.
