
HotwaxHarley Podcast
HotwaxHarley is a veteran American DJ, producer and electronic music pioneer based in the RDU area of North Carolina. He has been active in the scene since 1981, relocating to Durham, N.C. in 1989 taking up a residency at Power Company, where he played a key role in introducing house music. He co-produced the Drama After Midnight EP on Detroit's Wallshaker Records, collaborating with Maurice Fulton on the B-side track “Soundz Weird” under the moniker 2 Flights Up. Earlier work included collaborating with Jomai Etu (Princess Petite) and the Magic Paisley Dubs adventure. More recent releases include, “I Feel House,” “Get Up Dance” and “Harley’s Trip” and are now streaming / available for purchase on Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify and others. Check them out! In 1996, HotwaxHarley's DJ skills were reviewed in URB Magazine's Baller Issue, No. 51, Vol. 6. Later in 1998-2002, he held the Insomnia residency on Fridays at Gotham Nightclub in Chapel Hill, N.C. During that time in 1999 with Mark Kane, created Keepers of Sound, and launched Radiance, an influential Wednesday night weekly running for over 104 events showcasing a wide range of DJs & international guests. Keeping his DJ skills fresh, he releases periodically, promotional mixes on the HotwaxHarley Podcast, appearing on Apple, Podomatic, Soundcloud and Mixcloud.
