    One-ManTrekker#4.1: "George, J.J., and a game with Q..." (Stardate 05.30.13)

Bombastically beamed in from nearly one month short of the time elapsed between the first and second episodes (six months), Kert Kaczynski recovers from the gruesome horror of losing all the files for The One-Man Trekker, barely retrieving them to save this explosive episode. As the initial millisecond of audio blasts off, we set off at warp speed into what was meant to be released in March. With his grand, slick n’ sweepin’ vessel of the space-ways, the U.S.S. Trekker, Kert and his computerized companion, Mary, raise an eyebrow as to the nature of what Kert believes to be their first alien encounter in their newly born journey. It isn’t long until Kert heads to his glitzy studio, with a silver-glazed microphone in hand, to dive deep into two refutable subject matters a human being of his kind has no lack of understanding for: Star Wars, and Star Trek. The unforeseen news of October 2012 sent shockwaves through the mindscapes of Star Wars fans and Trekkers, alike. In this thrilling episode, Kert imaginatively stutters and rambles about the history of George Lucas and the legendary lore of Star Wars for the good majority of the drastic duration, until he connects the dots to the Trek land, and fires off on J.J. Abrams tackling Star Wars alongside an overview on Kert’s Star Trek (2009) impassioned thoughts. All this, for an invigorating hour and thirteen minutes. The Episodes Engaged portion of the show, kicks off in The One-Man Trekker Episode #4.2, the second edition to a long-awaited Episode #4.

    One-ManTrekker#3: "Enter: The U.S.S. Trekker..." (Stardate 01.31.13)

Our (soon-to-be-formal) basement dweller, Kert Kacynski, returns after a mere six days as he rejoices in the gleaming fact that it wasn’t six months since he last departed. He warps into the unexpectedly oversized whopper of an episode, first diving into the shocking news of J.J. Abrams’s newest project. (Hint: I am your father. Not really. That was just the hint. Don’t be confused.) He shares with us his latest casual viewing experience of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, reads some tweets from his fellow man, and continues to hype up his “something big, coming” which announces itself, for itself, later in the show. But this description shant spoil you! We’ve told you enough, already… Also, before all that nonsense, he apologizes for some of his “grievous” mistakes in the last episode, being: calling The Black Hole a 1978 film, and misstating TOS Season 3, as TNG Season 3, throughout. As if TNG don’t get enough of the spotlight on this show thus far, as it is! He also weeps about the poor mic quality as his “p’s” and “pops” are beautifully, distortingly, accentuated. In his new studio in a place we can’t tell you about, as of yet, he comfortably engages into a segment, appropriately titled, ‘Episodes Engaged’. The name speaks for itself. He devours the podcast duration up and through the roof with his rambling, sometimes stuttering all-eternal thoughts on one of his personal favorite gems of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Behold, his stunted exploration of Season 1, Episode #6: “Where No One Has Gone Before.” Like yarn given to a cat, this one got out of Kert’s hands as he gives us a 108 minute episode, treated to you like a two-hour special premiere episode. Enjoy!
