Queen Mary, University of London

Ben Hammersley, the Prime Minister’s Ambassador to Tech City explains the concept of a “smart city” and what is being changed in our daily lives to make it a reality. In Hammersley’s opinion, “Tech City is the idea that East London’s technology community can in the internet age be a catalyst that improves the lives of this whole area, this city, the country and in fact the whole world.” Using the diversity and wealth of London to create the UK’s version to Silicon Valley can be extremely lucrative and positive for the country but can also be very dangerous to our daily lives.
