    The debate surrounding AI and whether or not (or even how) its development should be regulated is definitely heating up, with a flurry of mostly-Democrats coming out in favor of forcing a development slowdown in order to supposedly prevent a looming AI-apocalypse. Why are leaders from Anthropic saying they agree? Legitimate conspiracy and conspiracy theories abound, and the panel will discuss WHY this is happening, who might be responsible, and what the free market solution is. Also, President Donald Trump is floating the idea of giving every adult in the country $5000... if Republicans win in the midterms. We discuss whether this is a catastrophe, how to make it less catastrophic or even a good idea (difficult to pull off), and whether this is just blatant political bribery that is fundamentally different than other political promises. On UNHINGED: The fervor against the lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy trial seems to have abruptly died now that everyone found out the juror is a black, Haitian immigrant who votes Republican. And for America @ 250: We go from a confusing defeat at Kip's Bay to a pyrrhic victory at Harlem Heights as the American Revolution fully enters one of its darkest moments, in the loss of New York City.
