What Is God Calling Me to Do? | Acts 1:8

What is your purpose as a Christian? In Acts 1:8, Jesus gives His followers a clear mission: receive power from the Holy Spirit and be His witnesses wherever He sends us. In this message from Acts: The Church in Motion, Pastor Joe Dwyer teaches how the calling Jesus gave the early church still applies to followers of Jesus today. You weren't created to simply watch from the sidelines. You were called to live with purpose, share your faith, and allow God to work through your life. In this message, you'll discover: • What Acts 1:8 means for Christians today • Why the Holy Spirit empowers us for God's mission • What it means to be a witness for Jesus • How your everyday life can become part of God's purpose • Why your mission starts right where you are Jesus told His disciples they would be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. For us, that mission includes our homes, workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, and our own city of Amarillo, Texas. 📖 KEY SCRIPTURE Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…” ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⛪ ENCOUNTER CHURCH Our Mission: CONNECT • GROW • SERVE Our Vision: Encountering the fullness of God through revelation and transformation.
