    Cast Down Shame and Destroy Pride (Jonah, Redemption, Presence of God)

    When believers lose their way because of sin, trauma, bad teaching, or fear, shame often tells them to give up—but God’s mercy calls them back. Drawing from his own experience of backsliding in college, repentance, and rededication, Dan uses the story of Jonah as a powerful picture of God’s relentless grace. Jonah ran from God, paid the fare to escape, and ignored multiple “gates” of grace that gave him opportunities to repent. When a storm exposed his disobedience and the lot identified him, Jonah was thrown overboard and swallowed by a great fish. From the belly of Sheol, he cried out to God, repented, and was ultimately vomited onto dry land. But Jonah’s story didn’t end with his failure. After his repentance, God “bent time,” allowing Jonah to reach Nineveh in a single day even though the journey would normally take three days. God then transformed Jonah’s shame into a testimony as the people of Nineveh responded to his message and repented, potentially influenced by their association with the fish-god Dagon. Dan reminds listeners that failure does not disqualify them from God’s purpose. Shame may tell them to hide, quit, or stay defined by their past, but God’s mercy calls them forward. The invitation is to repent, get back up, and refuse to let shame override God’s redemptive agenda.     Why Memories Matter: Trauma, Forgiveness, and Testimony in the Courts of Heaven Memories are important, even if they contain details of traumatic events. Dan Duval argues that traumatic memories matter because avoiding them through dissociation and misusing “forgetting those things which are behind” can preserve demonic “legal access” and ongoing torment.     The Human Body is Intelligent and Self Aware: Triune man, Triune God, Consciousness

    Jesus is Real, and so is Fake Jesus Programming (Defiling the Image of God)

    Dan Duval discusses what he calls “fake Jesus programming,” describing how some trauma survivors—particularly those who report satanic ritual abuse—may encounter a counterfeit representation of Jesus during inner-healing ministry. He suggests that this figure may speak words of condemnation, reinforce shame, or prevent a genuine encounter with Christ. Dan argues that ongoing encounters with Jesus should be a normal part of the Christian life and that inviting Jesus into painful memories can facilitate healing. He also describes alleged occult programming in which a cult member dressed as Jesus abuses or mocks children while they are instructed to pray, potentially creating internal associations or “agreements” that later manifest as a demonic presence or fragmented part presenting itself as Jesus. According to Dan, these experiences can interfere with a survivor’s ability to recognize genuine encounters with Christ and may need to be intentionally renounced. He describes approaches that involve identifying the memory anchoring the programming and symbolically “divorcing” the perpetrator. He adds that similar programming can allegedly target perceptions of the Father and Holy Spirit and may contribute to distorted theological beliefs. He recommends specific prayer resources and encourages people to ask God whether they were exposed to such scenarios, particularly when unexplained spiritual or emotional patterns persist.
