I can't say what is and isn't authentically Marxist, or what distinguishes the Trotskyite flavor from any other. I'm deeply suspicious of any narrative that says only this or that "ism" or party can grasp what's happening and do anything to improve conditions. But I've listened to this podcast and read the WSWS off and on for years, and in the course of frequently fact-checking the articles, I've never found factual inaccuracies or distortions, and these writers cite their sources so that you can easily disprove their statements if they misspeak or dissemble. That's remarkable. Their predictions prove true often enough that I've learned to take them seriously. Evaluate their performance on these points compared to your favorite US commercial or "public" corporate news outlet, I dare you. Furthermore, they raise crucial facts that simply aren't discussed elsewhere. I don't buy all their conclusions, but they're doing important work in a media sphere dominated by cowardly and servile "infotainment" outlets. Finally, I'll say that the rather low-polish, paraprofessional delivery and presentation comprise a virtue: you're not going to be dazzled by any mass media flash from the WSWS. There's only substance here, and you can judge it, for good or ill, entirely on that basis.

Chewing gum while recording a podcast seems like an obvious thing to avoid. Couldn’t get even 5min into the episode. Other episodes I’ve listened to have been decent.

This is the daily podcast for working people. Its what I listen to every day. Some of the voices are better than the others but I make the most of my time with it.

All I ask for is that you ensure we receive vital intersectional perspectives from as many non whytes as possible. Thank you.

I value the commentary, but the production quality is seriously suspect. The recording drops out for a span of 1 second of time every few minutes. Very annoying, distracting, and consequential in following the narrative in many instances.

No other left-wing podcast comes close to the analysis and commentary featured on the WSWS podcast. I listen to it daily.

Liven up the delivery a little.

This is the most insightful, correct, scientific, and truly Marxist podcast available. Highly recomnended for workers to learn the revolutionary truth

This show is mostly good but you kinda lost me with all your praise of Lincoln sand Ulysses Grant. Both known for brutalizing indigenous people. And Lincoln didn’t free anyone by signing a paper. Enslaved people picking up arms to fight with the union, freed them.

The name “Trotsky” should be enough to dissuade any person on the left looking for a real analysis, but they try to hide that until the ending. The reality is that the WSWS, the fourth international and the SWP are Extremely Online and have no real sense of on-the-ground struggle and development. They gleefully dogpile on every socialist state and revolution that won and are often just parroting talking points of the CIA. The articles are shoddily written, always ending in the same bland “call to action”, and they still haven’t found a host that can read their pieces without falling asleep on-mic.
