    Your Memory

This is a recording I made of the Bluegrass Gentlemen performing an original song written by Jackie Wooten called "Your Memory". Jeff Barnett on Guitar, Jackie Wooten on Bass, David Church on Banjo and Brian Baker on Mandolin. Jackie and David are old school Bluegrass pickers who played with the Skyline Bluegrass Express Band on the Grand Ole Opry with Bill Monroe.

    Steam Powered Aeroplane

This is my attempt at a favorite John Hartford tune. Since I can't sing worth a darn I did it as an instrumental (which is fairly common). I play mandolin and resonator guitar on the recording. The Band in A Box RealTracks band helped me out on guitar rhythm and bass. I have a new recording interface and software and I am still learning so the recording quality is so-so. Hope y'all enjoy my attempt at it.

    Hang Me Down Walking Cane

Here's a little multi track I did of the song "Hand me Down My Walking Cane". This is the way I learned it, which may differ from some other versions, but I always like playing this one at jams, as it's a good simple song for teaching people on the fly. I apologize in advance for my awful singing...Thanks for listening.

    William Smith Monroe

I wrote this tribute to Bill Monroe after visiting the Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Festival in Rosine, KY in 2005, and I have just released it in the USA on New Cuts Of Bluegrass Volume 3, and to Radio Stations on Air Play Direct. It is getting really good airplay on US Radio.

    Fisher's Hornpipe

I thought I would post a little bit of "Fisher's Hornpipe" played on my Aleyas mandolin. I played the guitar and mando, so please ignore the guitar playing. :)

    Jackson

I wrote this several years ago after a pet beagle. He was always running, never still.

    St. Anne's Reel

I decided to tinker around with some multitracking a while back. I have always liked St. Anne's Reel and decided to record it. I played the melody on Resonator Guitar and Mandolin and play some guitar rythym for it. I played the tune a little more slowly and deliberately than it is usually played. It changes the feel of the tune a bit. I played a 1981 Carlson/Flatiron mandolin A5-2 on this recording. Hope you enjoy it.
