    Alyssa Villareal

    We are back from break! This week we have a very special guest on our podcast. Alyssa Villareal is an alumnus of Dougherty Valley and was in the drama class during her senior year (which was cut short due to the COVID pandemic). She went on to study at NYU and has created a nice career for herself. She is currently a cast member of the Broadway musical The Outsiders! Join us as we learn about her path in the performing arts, her journey in New York, and some reminiscing about the first time we worked together on The King and I.

    It's the end of the first semester! This week we interview one of our DV Drama Officers, Natalie!     Lexi Avila

    This week we speak with a senior in our theatre class who is technically NOT in the theatre class! Join as we learn more about Lexi! While Lexi has been involved with our program over the last three years, she couldn't join the theatre class because it was full. So she did what any other resourceful person does when they want to be in the class even though it's full. She became a TA! This week Lexi talks about her journey through theatre, her time in the dance program and her life as a Dougherty Valley cheerleader!

    Mausam Saha

    He shaved his head for a role. He loves Safeway sushi. It has been mentioned that he may or may not be able to do a backflip. Join us this week as we speak with Mausam about his adventures in the DVHS Drama Program! He has worked both onstage and backstage and provides an interesting perspective on life not only in the drama room, but also at DVHS in general.

    We have a special guest this week! Normally, we interview seniors in our DV Drama program, but this week we get to speak to an alumnus who is coming back to visit, Jess Panganiban! Join us as Jess shares her post high school journey, her thoughts about college, Dougherty Valley, her time in the drama program as a stage manager, and how all of that allows her to make money at school doing something that she truly enjoys! We missed recording an episode last week due to the end of the quarter, but this episode definitely makes up for that!

    He's in theatre, he's in band, he's in choir, and he also claims to be an athlete. Join us this week as we interview Aaron about his time in the theatre arts program. Hear about what got him involved, why his entire personality is based on food, why he prefers to be called "Alice" while in the drama room, and defend himself when asked why an "athlete" has difficulty carrying a smaller person off stage!
