  1. Baptism of the Holy Spirit

    Baptism of the Holy Spirit

In today’s sermon, Apostle Alfred Williams charges the church not to miss God’s “time of visitation” in May, reminding us that from the moment of salvation the Holy Spirit lives within the believer and our bodies become His temple (1 Corinthians 6:19). He teaches that whoever you yield yourself to becomes your ruler—yield to God and the Spirit leads you; yield to sin and the enemy gains influence. Building on the morning’s teaching, he reiterates that the Holy Spirit carries the nine gifts, but for any gift to be manifested the Spirit must “come out” and rest upon the believer—hence Jesus’ command that every Christian must seek and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; Luke 11:13). He then lays out the month’s spiritual posture: “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts” (1 Corinthians 14:1). He explains that your destiny and God’s prepared answers are revealed through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:9–12), and urges believers to stop prioritising only physical outcomes when Holy Spirit carries everything God can do. He highlights how faith triggers healing and miracles (Acts 3:6–16), distinguishing between faith in the name of Jesus and the faith that comes from His name—a transcendent faith that empowers bold action beyond natural reasoning. The sermon closes as a call to holy living, unity, and courage: refuse fear, present your body as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1), guard your tongue, and pursue the Spirit with hunger—because in this season God is calling the church higher, and the Holy Spirit is ready to mark your life with power.

  2. Eagerly Desire the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts

    May 1

Eagerly Desire the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts

In today’s sermon, Apostle Alfred Williams teaches that stepping into a new month is a spiritual moment: earth should “inquire of heaven” and believers should ask, “Holy Spirit, what are You saying about this month?” Drawing from Psalm 19:1–4 and Romans 8:14, he calls the church to live as Spirit-led people, interpreting what happens in life through God’s perspective rather than noise, confusion, or fear. He emphasises that spiritual growth and the word-of-knowledge lifestyle begin with a posture of hunger—turning your heart to understand, as Daniel did (Daniel 9), and building your life on Scripture, not guesswork or emotions. Apostle then anchors the key instruction for May: “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts” (1 Corinthians 14:1). He explains that what God has prepared for those who love Him is revealed by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:9–10), because the Spirit searches the deep things of God and knows His thoughts (1 Corinthians 2:10–11). Therefore, believers can understand what God has freely given them—wisdom, direction, peace, provision, and insight—through the Spirit who lives within them (1 Corinthians 2:12). He closes by linking May’s theme to transformation “from glory to glory” by the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18) and reminding the church that angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14)—so fear has no place in the believer’s life.

  3. The Power of the Cross

    The Power of the Cross

In today’s sermon, Apostle Alfred Williams begins a focused teaching series on the power of the cross—running through to Pentecost—because ignorance is one of the enemy’s strongest weapons against God’s people (Hosea 4:6). He confronts popular but destructive teachings that trade on fear (including “generational curses” and other sensational doctrines), insisting that true prosperity is not a money-hype scheme, but the work of Christ in a believer’s life. Apostle calls the church back to knowledge, maturity and biblical thinking—so believers stop seeking “power” from liars when salvation already carries divine power. This sermon is anchored in Colossians 1:13–14: God rescued us from the dominion (jurisdiction) of darkness, translated us into the kingdom of His Son, and granted redemption and forgiveness of sins. From there Apostle explains spiritual “jurisdiction” through Ephesians 2:1–6—we once lived under the ruler of the air, but God, rich in mercy, made us alive, raised us up, and seated us with Christ in heavenly places—meaning Satan has no legal authority over a born-again believer. This is reinforced further in Galatians 5:1 and John 8:36: Christ has already set us free, so submitting to fear-based “deliverance” doctrine is stepping back into bondage. Finally, he addresses the often-misquoted curses passage in Exodus 20:3–6, showing it applies to those who hate God, while God promises covenant mercy to a thousand generations of those who love Him. The sermon closes as a clear call to repentance and clean living: come to Jesus sincerely, reject darkness, stand firm in grace—and let the cross settle your identity once and for all: you are redeemed, you are free, and you are not under any curse
