    Where Wisdom Begins

    What is shaping you as a man? Culture, success, failure, the opinions of others — every man is being formed by something. In this episode, Chris Muiña kicks off a brand-new series through the book of Proverbs, beginning with the story behind the book itself: how a 20-year-old Solomon asked God not for riches or long life, but for wisdom, and became the wisest man to ever live.     Rest…In Peace

    How easy is it for you to rest? Most men will lie down, but the mind keeps running, rehearsing tomorrow, replaying today. In this final episode of week two, Chris Alessi closes out the arenas of a man's life—the morning, the workplace, the home, the inner life—with something that might seem countercultural, even soft. It's not.  Looking at Psalm 4:8, Chris unpacks what it means to be safe in God alone—not when your bank account hits a certain number, not when everything's going your way, not because of your exit strategies or your training. David wrote from circumstances that were anything but safe, yet because he knew his safety came from God, he was the only one left standing. A man who can't rest hasn't fully surrendered control. One of the most spiritual things you can do is simply go to sleep, trusting God to take care of things while you're not working.  Verse of the Day Psalm 4:8 (NIV)  "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety."     Delight in Your Day

    When was the last time you truly enjoyed something? You can be disciplined in the morning, at work, and at home—and still be running on empty inside. In this episode, Chris Alessi goes inward with something near and dear to his heart.  What defines a man isn't what he has or what he's accomplished; it’s what he delights in. Most of us think, "If I had more blessings, then I could delight more." But Scripture flips it: God calls the man blessed who delights in the law of the Lord—His way. So delight in the drive. Stop living twenty or thirty minutes ahead of where you actually are. Never ask for less time, because time is the one resource everybody has but no one can get more of.  Verse of the Day  Psalm 1:2 (NIV)  "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night."     Bring It Home

    Where's the hardest place for you to man up? For most men, it's not the office—it's inside their own home, with their wife, their kids, the people who know the real them. In this episode, Chris Alessi brings the man-up challenge home.  Drawing from Psalm 101:2, where David sets his own standard of conduct—not just as a king, but as a dad and a husband. Chris talks about walking with integrity of heart within your house. Work and hobbies are rubber balls; drop them, and they bounce back. But family? Those are glass balls—drop one, and it tends to break. Your family doesn't need you to be flawless, but they do need you to be there.     Work as Worship

    Does your faith clock out when you clock in? For a lot of men, Sunday is for God, and Monday through Saturday is just survival—you do your job, come home depleted, and work stops meaning anything beyond the paycheck.  In this episode, Chris Alessi takes the Man-Up challenge into the place most men spend the majority of their time: work. Unpacking Colossians 3:23, Chris shows how Paul blows the divide between faith and work wide open: whatever you do, laying tile, running a sales meeting, driving a delivery truck, you’re working for Christ, not just a human master.     What Will You Leave Behind?

    Every man leaves a legacy. The question is whether you'll choose it or default into one.  Legacy isn't what you leave behind after you die, it's what you build while you're alive that outlives you. And the people closest to you are watching right now, learning what manhood looks like from you. In today's devotional, we wrap up Week One by tying it all together — identity, responsibility, courage, and brotherhood — and challenge you to live with intentionality, so the generation coming after you can walk in the blessing of your faithfulness.     Face Your Fears

    Every man has fears. The man who says he doesn't is either lying or not trying anything worth doing. The real question isn't whether you feel fear, it's whether you let fear lead.
